Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address all three bullet points: you propose meeting in the college hall, explain that classmates can revisit memories and share career journeys, and ask Rohit to provide contact details. These are relevant ideas, but the reasons for choosing this format and the practical arrangements are only briefly explained; for example, you do not say when the event might happen or what other help you need. The response is also 20 words below the required minimum, which limits how fully you can develop the plan. To strengthen the letter, add specific details about the event and explain more clearly how this kind of gathering would benefit everyone.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a generally clear sequence: you introduce the anniversary, describe the proposed gathering, give reasons, and then ask for help. Separate paragraphs help distinguish these points, and the reader can follow the main message. However, some links between ideas are repetitive or unclear, such as “In this way” followed by several short statements, and “So” does not connect smoothly to the request before it. The final advice request also feels added on rather than integrated into the organisation plan. Use a wider range of clear linking phrases and make each paragraph develop one connected point, while keeping the letter’s progression easy to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the basic plan, including “celebration,” “career journey,” “memories,” and “contact details.” However, the range is limited, and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural and sometimes make the meaning less clear. For instance, “ten years of togetherness” is not a natural way to describe the anniversary, and “memorial time” suggests a different meaning from the happy college memories you intend. “This thing” is also vague, while “organization” is repeated. Choose more precise expressions for the reunion, the venue, and the practical arrangements, and check collocations so your meaning is conveyed naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response relies mainly on short, simple sentences, with little variety in sentence structure. There are frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction: “I hope you are finds well” should use a correct greeting structure, and “This thing will filled us new energy” needs a correctly formed verb phrase. Other examples include “our all friends” and “after completion graduation.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in lowercase “i” and the run-on “you.provide.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause, although the overall message remains understandable. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add a few controlled complex sentences to explain your reasons and requests.
