Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points in the task: you propose a reunion at a hall, explain that it will bring classmates together to remember college, and ask your friend to collect old photos and videos. Practical details such as the date, time, food and entertainment make the plan clear. The reason for choosing this format is relevant, but it is only briefly explained; you could say more about why meeting in person and sharing memories would suit the anniversary. The request for help is specific, although explaining how your friend might gather or send the material would develop it further. Overall, the main purpose is clear, but some parts are less fully developed than others.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The information follows a generally understandable order: you introduce the reunion, give event details, then explain what help you need and ask for a reply. This gives the letter an overall structure. However, nearly all the content is presented in one long paragraph, so the different stages of the message are not clearly separated. Several ideas are joined with repeated forms such as “and” and “so,” which makes the progression feel list-like. Divide the letter into short paragraphs—for the invitation and plan, the reason for the event, and your request—and use a few clear links such as “As well as this” or “To help with the preparations.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the event plan, including “classmates,” “invitation,” “band music,” and “big screen.” The specific food and entertainment details also help make the message concrete. However, spelling errors and some unnatural word combinations are noticeable, for example “remeber,” “marray hall,” “enterance,” and “I arrange the band music.” These sometimes make the reader pause, even though the intended meaning is usually recoverable. Aim for accurate spelling and more natural phrases, such as “book a band” and “collect old photographs and videos.” A wider range of natural expressions for celebrating and organising would make the letter more fluent and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the main message remains understandable. Some grammatical errors occur, including “I am gaurav one of your college friend,” “I will available,” and “I already sent,” where the sentence structure, agreement or verb form needs correction. The long sentence beginning “I arrange the band music” also combines several details without clear punctuation, making it harder to follow. Use complete forms such as “I am Gaurav, one of your college friends” and “I will be at the main door.” Breaking longer sentences into shorter ones and checking articles, verb forms and punctuation would improve accuracy while preserving your range.
