Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the main points by proposing a surprise party, explaining that it would let former classmates spend time together, and asking your friend to raise funds and send invitations. These details make the plan relevant, but the reasons for choosing this celebration are only briefly stated, and the request for help is not fully explained—for example, there is no indication of how many people to invite or how the fundraising should be organised. The extra plan to go to the beach is also not connected clearly to the event. The purpose is generally understandable, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed. Develop the benefits of the party and give your friend clearer, practical responsibilities.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The letter follows a broadly sensible order: you introduce the reunion, describe the proposed party, ask for help, and finish by expressing enthusiasm. However, most of the content is packed into one long paragraph, so the different parts of the plan are difficult to distinguish. Connections between ideas are also sometimes unclear, particularly the shift from the party to going to the beach. Phrases such as “for this I need some help” provide a basic link, but the progression is not consistently smooth. Use separate paragraphs for the event and its benefits, your friend’s tasks, and the closing, and add clearer transitions to show how the beach visit fits into the celebration.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for a reunion, including “surprise party,” “boufet dinner,” “music,” “dance,” and “invitation,” so the reader can identify the event you have in mind. However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the letter harder to read, such as “calss mates,” “seeved,” and “beech.” Some expressions are also unnatural, including “in favor of our all ex-college classmates” and “college life's real vibes.” Choose more natural phrases for the context, such as “for all our former classmates” and “recreate the atmosphere of college.” Proofreading spelling and using precise event-planning vocabulary would make your message clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts to combine ideas in longer sentences, for example when describing the venue, dinner, entertainment, and ice cream. However, these complex attempts are often faulty, and sentence boundaries are not controlled consistently. Examples include “I am think to organize,” “Where we would have enjoy,” and “After the wnd of the party we will go,” which contain problems with verb forms and sentence construction. There are also errors in articles, capitalization, and punctuation, as in “Dear friend” and “great.I am.” These frequent errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then connect them with clauses such as “where” or “because” only when the grammar is secure.
