Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The letter addresses all three required points: you propose a reunion at the college, explain that returning to a place associated with shared memories would make it meaningful, and ask Aida to help choose a date and contact classmates. The purpose and friendly tone are clear. However, some parts are less fully developed: the event itself is described only as an “anniversary event,” without details about what classmates would do, and the reason for holding it at the school could be explained more specifically. The response is also one word below the stated minimum, so add a little relevant detail—for example, a meal or a tour of the college—to complete the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The information follows a sensible order: you open with a personal greeting, introduce the anniversary plan, explain the venue, and then ask for help. Paragraphing also separates the background and arrangements reasonably well. Some links between ideas are clear, such as “Since we all have lot of memories,” but the progression within the planning paragraph becomes less smooth when several requests are joined together without full stops. The final request to share an opinion provides a suitable closing. To make the organisation easier to follow, separate the date-setting and contacting tasks into distinct sentences, and use clear references such as “our classmates” consistently rather than shifting between “friends” and “classmates.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main purpose, including “anniversary,” “meaningful,” “memories,” and “support.” These choices suit a friendly letter, and the reader can understand the proposed reunion and the help you need. However, several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision: “a exciting news,” “organize a anniversary event,” and “school mangement” are inaccurate, while “fix the date” is less natural for arranging an event. Some expressions are also repetitive, particularly “friends” and “event.” Aim for more natural combinations and check spelling carefully. For instance, “classmates,” “reunion,” and “set a date” would make the arrangements sound clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The letter includes a mix of simple sentences and attempts at more complex forms, such as “Since we all have lot of memories, I am thinking organise this event in our school.” The overall meaning remains understandable, and the opening and closing are appropriate. Some grammatical errors remain, especially with articles, verb patterns, and sentence boundaries: “I have a exciting news” needs an article adjustment, “I am thinking organise” needs a gerund or infinitive construction, and “I need your support connect” is missing a grammatical link. There are also punctuation issues, including the full stop after “going?” and the long run-on request. Practise these patterns and divide the final paragraph into complete sentences.
