Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address all three requested points: you propose a restaurant celebration on 28 October, give reasons such as sharing food and taking photographs, and ask Sara to help book the venue. These details make the purpose clear. However, the explanation of why this format would be enjoyable is brief and partly repetitive, particularly “Then I feel very happy” and “I celebrate with family and friends with happiness.” The help requested is also quite narrow; you could specify practical tasks such as confirming attendance, choosing a menu, or arranging decorations. The letter therefore covers the task, but several ideas remain limited or unclear. Develop the reasons and the requested help more fully, and make the invitation and purpose explicit from the opening sentence.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable sequence, with “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Finally” guiding the reader through the event, its benefits, and the help needed. The details about the restaurant, guests, food, and photographs are generally grouped by topic, so the overall message can be followed. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the description of guests’ clothes and gifts, for example, does not connect smoothly to the venue arrangements. Several short statements feel like a list rather than a developed explanation, and repeated references to happiness do not add new information. Use clearer links between each detail and your main point, and organise the letter into distinct paragraphs for the proposal, reasons, and request.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the main event and its arrangements, including “restaurant,” “family,” “food,” “photographer,” and “booking.” Some topic-related choices, such as “sound system” and “comfortable chairs,” help make the plan concrete. However, the range is limited and several phrases are unnatural or imprecise, which can make the reader pause: “celebrate anniversary event,” “all invited individual,” and “manage all system” do not express the intended meanings clearly. Repetition of “happy” and “celebrate” also limits variety. Aim for natural collocations and more precise event vocabulary, such as “reunion dinner,” “guests,” and “organise the arrangements.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Most sentences use simple structures, and the reader can usually identify the main message. You also attempt longer clauses with “When,” as in “When I manage all system with you then I handle carefully and easily,” showing an effort to vary sentence forms. However, verb forms and agreement are frequently inaccurate: “I am invited you” should be “I am inviting you,” “Restaurant are” should be “The restaurant is,” and “Photographer are” should be “Photographers are.” There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence construction, as in “All family members should give the gifts.” Practise accurate present and future forms, subject–verb agreement, and complete, clearly structured sentences before adding more complex clauses.
