Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you propose a reunion party, explain that classmates have not met since college, and ask Betty to distribute invitations. The details about the Sunday date, venue, food and transport make the plan concrete. However, some ideas are less fully explained or become unclear. For example, “an attire outfit” and “an compound wear attire” do not clearly explain what guests should wear, and the range of transport and accommodation offered is not connected to how the event will be organised. Clarify the celebration plan and explain more specifically what help you need from Betty, such as contacting particular classmates or confirming attendance. A clearer, more consistently focused explanation would strengthen the letter.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter follows a generally sensible order: it introduces the anniversary, describes the proposed event, and ends with a request for help. Linking expressions such as “Additionally” and “Furthermore” help signal new information. However, the main body is presented in very long blocks, and several ideas run together, making the progression harder to follow. The sentence beginning “Additionally, transportations will be available” moves from logistics to the venue, food, dress and invited guests without clear separation. Some connections are also awkward, such as “so as to enable the card reach to each and every one.” Use separate paragraphs for the event and its reasons, then Betty’s role, and divide long sentences so each paragraph has a clear focus.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of vocabulary relevant to a reunion, including “recreational centre,” “socialize,” “invitation cards” and “accommodations.” These choices help convey the event’s setting and arrangements. However, several word choices, collocations and spellings are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “a good communication,” “an attire outfit,” “compound wear attire,” “convinient” and “displine headmaster.” “Transportation” is also more natural as an uncountable noun here, rather than “transportations.” Aim for familiar, accurate phrases rather than combining words in unusual ways. For instance, describe a “reunion party” and a “dress code,” and check spelling carefully; this will make the plan easier to understand and sound more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including explanations with “because” and purpose clauses such as “so as to enable.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but some sentence structures and punctuation need more control. The opening joins several independent ideas with commas: “How are you my friend, its been awhile…”; split this into shorter sentences and use question marks where appropriate. There are also errors in verb forms and sentence construction, as in “I heard from” and “I would like to organize a party for us to socialize with one and another have a good communication.” Check articles and agreement in phrases such as “the invited guest” and “an compound.” More accurate sentence boundaries and carefully checked clauses would improve clarity.
