Dear friends,

Hope you all are doing well,it has been a decade since we've seen eachother.I am planning of a get together in our city at end of december,as everyone will be having winter vacations during these days.It will be a dinner in a famous resturant of Oakville called Karahi boys.We will have few hours to sit talk and dance. It would bring alive all those nostalgic feelings burried under daily workload.I will divide the expense among all the attendes,so please add your names to the list who ever are available in these dates.we can create a google docs form, like we used to mark our attendence in college days, but be aware no proxies this time.i will share four type of menus and will require suggestions on that too.

I hope we are going to have a really good time after so long.I will be waiting anxiously for your replies.may this letter finds all of you in best of your health.

Yours truly,

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover the main requirements by proposing a dinner in Oakville, explaining that winter holidays may make attendance easier and that the gathering could revive college memories, and asking classmates to help by confirming attendance and choosing a menu. These are relevant, practical ideas. However, the letter is addressed to “Dear friends” rather than to one college friend, and the request for help is mostly limited to responses and suggestions; you could specify a friend’s role, such as booking the restaurant or contacting classmates. The reason for choosing this format is also only briefly explained. Develop these points more fully and make the intended recipient and purpose clearer to strengthen the response to the task.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The ideas follow a generally understandable order: you introduce the anniversary, describe the proposed dinner, explain its appeal, and ask for replies and menu suggestions. Linking expressions such as “as” and “so” help show relationships between ideas, and the closing gives the letter a clear ending. However, nearly all the content is presented in one long paragraph, so the different purposes are not clearly separated. Some connections feel abrupt, particularly the move from dividing expenses to creating a Google Docs form and then discussing menus. Use short paragraphs for the event, its benefits, and the help required, and make the links between these details more explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for a friendly invitation, including “get together,” “nostalgic feelings,” “daily workload,” and “suggestions.” These choices communicate the event and its emotional purpose, and the informal tone is generally suitable. There are, however, several spelling and word-choice errors, including “eachother,” “resturant,” “attendees,” and “attendence.” Some phrases are also less natural, such as “planning of a get together” and “four type of menus.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, but they reduce precision. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for organising events, such as “plan a get-together,” “make a reservation,” and “menu options.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, for example, “It would bring alive all those nostalgic feelings…” and the sentence explaining that classmates will have winter vacations. The message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. Examples include the missing subject in “Hope you all are doing well,” the awkward construction “I am planning of a get together,” and “may this letter finds,” where the verb form is incorrect. There are also issues with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “at end of december” and the long sentence beginning “I will divide the expense.” Practise complete sentence structures and review verb forms, articles, and punctuation.
