Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three requested points: you propose a reunion party, explain that it could help classmates reconnect and relieve stress, and ask Gurdeep to find classmates’ contact details and offer suggestions. These are relevant ideas, and the purpose is clear. The explanation of why the event would be enjoyable is more developed than the practical arrangements, however. Details such as games and meals help describe the event, but the request for help could be more specific—for example, asking your friend to contact particular classmates or help choose a date and venue. A clearer, more complete account of the arrangements would make the response more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The main ideas appear in a broadly sensible order: the proposed celebration and its benefits come first, followed by a request for help and a closing. However, the first paragraph is very long and combines several points in one sentence, so the progression is difficult to follow. Connectors such as “Therefore,” “because,” and “So” are repeated or used mechanically, and the relationship between some ideas is unclear. For example, the sentence beginning “because these days everyone busy” moves from busy lives to competition, stress, and sharing problems without clear breaks. Use shorter sentences, separate the event details from its benefits, and make the request a distinct paragraph to improve clarity.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to a reunion, including “classmates,” “city centre,” “games,” “meals,” and “stress,” so the reader can understand the general topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the message harder to interpret. For instance, “union party” is not a natural term for this occasion, and “get short time break” does not express the idea idiomatically. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “opportunties,” “definetly,” and “collegues.” Build a more precise set of phrases for reunions and event planning, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple and complex sentences, particularly through clauses introduced by “because” and “so that.” However, complex sentences are often difficult to control, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms sometimes make the meaning unclear. Examples include “everyone busy in our lives,” “anyone no enjoy their lives,” and “which will assist to relieves from stress.” The opening also joins several ideas into one sentence without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause at a time. Check subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and use full stops to prevent run-on sentences.
