Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify an alumni homecoming at the college as the event and give a basic reason: it would let classmates meet again and see their teachers. You also ask your friend to help organise it, so the main task points are present. However, the response is very brief and the ideas are only minimally developed: it does not explain what the event would involve, why this format would be especially suitable, or what specific help you need. The request “help me to set this simple event” remains vague. The response is 55 words below the required minimum, which limits how fully you can address the three points. Add practical details and explain your reasons and requests more clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic sequence: it introduces the purpose, names the proposed event, gives a reason, and ends with a request and sign-off. Paragraph breaks help separate these functions, and the reader can generally follow the intended message. However, progression is limited because each point receives only one short statement, and links between ideas are sometimes unclear. For example, “After we graduated … after ten years” repeats the time reference, while “You can go with your family i think its become happy” does not clearly connect the family invitation to the reason for the event. Develop each point in a separate, purposeful paragraph and use clear links such as “This would be a good opportunity because…”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “celebration,” “alumni homecoming,” “classmates,” and “alma mater,” so the reader can identify the general subject. The range is nevertheless limited, and several word choices or forms make the message less natural, such as “a celebration after ten years graduated” and “set this simple event.” Spelling errors in “writting” and “mactan” also reduce accuracy. Aim to use precise phrases for the event and the help you need, rather than repeating general words such as “event” and “good.” For example, you could specify a reunion dinner, venue arrangements, or contacting former classmates.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including “I think its good in this way to see each other with our teacher,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms and sentence construction appear in “we have a celebration after ten years graduated” and “I think its become happy,” making the intended meaning less clear. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and punctuation, as in “a alumni homecoming” and the run-on sentence “school. You can go with your family i think…”. Use a clear subject and verb in each sentence, check past-tense forms when describing graduation, and separate complete ideas with full stops. More accurate simple sentences would make your message easier to understand.
