Student answer (Band 5.5)
Having a positive hobby in our routine life plays an important role for our mental and physical health . it does not matter what kind of hobby we have until it affects our life.
in our early stage of life once we are at the age of 2 to 15 years it is resposibility of parents to motivate and set a good hobby for their children as it will plays an important role in their developement stage . young adults are mature enough to understand important of having a good hobby in their life and specially working people who work long hours must have a good hobby to keep themselves physicaly and mentally fit to perform their daily routine tasks.
i would suggest people no matter at what stage of their life they are , they should focus or try to include any physical fitness related hobby in their routine tasks . it can be any game for children as they would be more interested to do it . incase of young adults , they can indulge into any sport or may join gym for their physical and mental fitness . incase of working poeple , as tgey do not have much time due to long working hours , they can join gym or maybe they can just exert by doing any physical activity . with the passage of time when people get retired and get old , they donot have the ability to perform like children or young adults , they need to atleast include one activity that suits their physical ability to exret on daily basis. it can be by joining yoga classes or they can just walk in the morning or evening .
hobbies play an important role in our lives if we need to stay physically and mentally fit.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You give a clear opinion that people at every life stage should have a hobby, especially one involving physical activity, and you address children, young adults, workers and retirees. The examples—children playing games, adults joining a gym, and older people walking or attending yoga—make the response relevant. However, the discussion focuses mainly on exercise and physical fitness, while the broader value of hobbies is not explored much; for instance, you could explain how hobbies support relaxation, creativity or social connection. The point about parents guiding children is relevant but brief, and the benefits for each group are mostly asserted rather than explained. Develop a few reasons more fully and support them with a specific example to make the argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has an overall progression: it introduces the value of hobbies, considers different age groups, then gives practical suggestions before concluding. Grouping examples by life stage helps the reader follow your main idea. However, most of the discussion is presented in one long paragraph, so the stages and supporting points are not clearly separated. Connectors such as “incase of” are repeated, and the shift from the general claim to advice about physical activities can feel abrupt. Use distinct paragraphs for the introduction, reasons and examples, and conclusion. Vary linking expressions and make references explicit—for example, clarify what “it” refers to in “it will plays an important role”—to make the progression smoother and less mechanical.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main points, including “hobby,” “physical and mental fitness,” “sport,” “gym” and “yoga classes.” The examples are generally understandable, but the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, particularly “good hobby” and “physical and mentally fit.” Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “exert by doing any physical activity” and “perform their daily routine tasks.” Spelling errors—including “resposibility,” “developement,” “physicaly” and “poeple”—also make the writing less polished and can slow the reader. Build a wider set of precise expressions for the benefits and types of hobbies, and proofread spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with subordinate clauses, such as the sentence beginning “with the passage of time when people get retired.” This shows some range, and the main message is usually recoverable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries recur. For example, “it will plays” should use a consistent verb form, and “young adults are mature enough to understand important” needs a grammatical noun phrase. The opening also begins a new sentence with lowercase “it,” while several long sentences join multiple ideas without clear punctuation. Practise accurate clause construction and check each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb; breaking the longest sentences into shorter units would improve control.
