Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is essiential to have atleast one hobby for everyone either it is a children, adults, or grey hairs. In my opinion it is important to have a activity to work on. Everyone should have something in their life to enjoy their time while working on it.
Firstly, Now a days everyone is tired of their regular schedule and most of the time it is very frustrating to keep on repeating same day by day, So, Everyone should have one hobby in which they enjoy their time and feel relaxed while doing this. For example, as a working professional by following the same schadule everyday working in offices, attending meetings, then come home eat and then again complete their pending office work within all this it is exausting to follow it while in all this if we have some time to play some outdoor game or anything which feels good while doing that it helps to reduce stress and helps in concentrating. Moving forward, same goes for childerns it helps to explore the option what he can do for the future and concentrate in the activity in which he is good at and work on it to make it a carrier opportunities.
Moreover, As grey hairs are free most of the time after their retirements they do not have anything to do if they have any hobby it helps to kill time and stay happy. for exampled, Most of the retired person stay at home and doing nothing and keep on bouthering others. if they have some kind of hobby they can work on it and make themselfs busy and kill their time as they enjoy while doing it. Furthermore, if we talk about adults now days it is very hactic to maintain their healthy lifestyle and they only focus on studies or work it feels like very stressed , it is essential to have a hobby to relax their mind and make it cool by giving some rest to the mind.
In my opinion, it is very important to have a hobby in every stage of life from childhood to the grey hairs because if we have some hobby we have something to work on and make ourself useful. And it is very important to have something to focus on and can enjoy it while doing this.
In conclusion, dose not matter in what age you are in we all should have a hobby which is entertaining and relaxing to our mind and some time an hobby can be a future carrier option if we are very good in that.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear throughout: you believe people of all ages benefit from having a hobby, and you address children, working adults and retired people. The examples about a worker’s routine and retirees having activities support the main argument, while the point that a childhood hobby may develop into a career adds a relevant perspective. This covers the task, but some ideas are more fully explained than others. The working-person example describes a demanding routine in detail, whereas the benefits for children and adults are stated more generally, and the claim that hobbies make people “useful” is not explained. Develop each age group’s benefit with a specific example or clearer reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, body paragraphs discuss different age groups, and the conclusion restates your position. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “Furthermore” help signal the progression. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with several ideas joined through repeated “and” or “if” constructions, and some references are unclear—for example, “it helps to explore the option what he can do” does not clearly identify the child or the activity. The paragraph on adults also shifts from retirees to working-age adults without a clear transition. Use more precise links between ideas and ensure each paragraph has a focused topic sentence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main points, including “regular schedule,” “reduce stress,” “concentrating,” and “healthy lifestyle.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “career opportunities,” though the phrase is not used accurately in context. Noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the reader pause: “essiential,” “schadule,” “exausting,” and “bouthering” are examples, while “grey hairs” is an unsuitable way to refer to older people. Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “kill time” and “make it cool” for relaxing the mind. Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with subordinate clauses, as in the explanation of how a hobby can help someone cope with a routine. This shows some range, but complex sentences are not consistently controlled, and errors in articles, agreement, verb forms and sentence boundaries recur. For example, “it is a activity” needs an article correction, and “Most of the retired person stay at home and doing nothing” has problems with number and parallel verb form. Several sentences run together, particularly the long example beginning “For example, as a working professional,” making the relationships between actions harder to follow. Practise breaking long sentences into clear clauses and check agreement and verb forms.
