Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You give a clear opinion in the conclusion: hobbies bring benefits at every stage of life. The response also addresses several age groups and offers relevant support, including the example of a singer whose hobby became a career and the discussion of older people recalling meaningful times. However, the task asks about children, young adults, working people and retired people, and these groups are not all addressed equally clearly. The points about children and young adults are more developed, while the benefits for working people and retirees remain general or unclear. The opening says the essay will discuss the importance of hobbies before giving an opinion, but the position could be stated more directly from the start. Develop each group’s benefit with a clearer explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs broadly move from younger people to older adults, and examples are placed near the ideas they support. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. The opening’s “The following paragraphs will discuss…” does not clearly guide the reader to your position, and “Extra curricular activities work as a single resource at some age to get enjoy” is difficult to connect to the preceding paragraph. References such as “this” in “due to this” do not always make the intended link precise. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then connect explanations and examples with clear, natural transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “therapy,” “daily routine,” “promotion,” and “personal life,” and you use examples to express ideas about hobbies and different life stages. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow: “modernaization,” “boared,” “memories” used as a verb, and “single resource” are examples. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “carry at least one thing to be creative” and “enhance your inner energy.” These issues limit precision even when the general idea can be inferred. Build a reliable set of collocations for discussing hobbies, such as “take up a hobby,” “relieve stress,” and “provide a sense of fulfilment,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “Hobby is not only for enjoyment but also helpful…” and the sentence beginning “Appart from the daily routine.” This shows an attempt to vary sentence structure, and the main message is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement, articles, and verb forms. For instance, “senior citizen have seen” needs a plural subject or matching verb, while “a famous Indian singer bring” has an incorrect verb form. In “it can boost energy by keeping adults free,” the reference of “it” is not grammatically clear. Review subject–verb agreement, singular and plural forms, and article use, and divide long sentences when their clauses become difficult to control.
