Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this modern generation this topic is very highly disccused. Nowadays, All age group is very actively sicking about hobby. Here we disccused reasons behind it and how people do think about hobby also real life examples.

On the one hand, In modern generation parents are very facinate about activity for their child. Activity should turn into hobby at one point for child in certain time. Moreover, Working people are always do have beacuse they have working stress so they relax with this kind of acitivty. We can called it hobby. In addition, Senior citizen are retired with their responsibities so they dont want to spent free time. They develop any kind of hobby. for example, Children going in swimmimg in their childhood days so it become hobby in teenage and it wild passion in adults so it happen like that.

On the other hand, Some people dont have any perticuler hobbies. They just do random acitivties but they very highly active. For example, People are going hiking, swimming etc. but its not hobby for them. Its only fun for them.

I belive that, Every persone should have their hobby beacuse hobbies are good for mindset. future goals, health. If people busy as much as they are so far away from stress and busy work life so its good for health. In my opinion, If we passionate about the perticuler hobby. It will help to achive any goal.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall opinion that everyone should have a hobby, and you offer relevant reasons linked to relaxation, health and personal goals. The examples about children swimming and adults hiking or swimming help illustrate the topic. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the reasons are mostly asserted rather than explained, and the discussion of people who do activities “but its not hobby for them” is not clearly connected to whether everyone should have one. The position also becomes clearer only in the final paragraph. The response is 12 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your ideas. Explain how hobbies benefit each age group and support your opinion with a more specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction to two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “On the one hand,” “Moreover,” and “In addition” show an attempt to organise points, and the final paragraph restates your view. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph shifts quickly from parents to workers to retired people, then to a swimming example without clearly connecting each point. The contrast introduced by “On the other hand” is also not fully explained. Some links feel mechanical, and references such as “it” in “it become hobby” are unclear. Group related ideas, use clearer topic sentences, and explain how each example supports the main argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “hobby,” “working stress,” “free time,” “passionate,” and “health,” so the reader can generally understand the subject. There are also attempts to express ideas in different ways, such as describing hobbies as activities that help people relax. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to interpret, including “disccused,” “facinate,” “sicking,” and “perticuler.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “very highly active” and “busy as much as they are.” Build a more accurate set of topic collocations—for example, “relieve stress,” “pursue a hobby,” and “develop a passion”—and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, using forms such as “because” and “so,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and attempts at longer sentences often contain several grammatical errors. For example, “All age group is very actively sicking about hobby” has problems with agreement and sentence construction, while “Working people are always do have” uses an incorrect verb pattern. Other examples include “it become hobby” and “Every persone should have their hobby,” where verb agreement and article or determiner use need attention. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb patterns, and complete sentence construction before adding more complex clauses.
