Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position and supporting it with relevant examples for children, working adults, and the retired. The ideas are extended and logically grouped by age category. However, the development is somewhat repetitive, and the language used to express these ideas is occasionally simplistic. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced analysis rather than listing benefits. For example, instead of just stating that hobbies reduce stress, you could explain the psychological mechanism behind how a creative outlet provides a cognitive shift for a stressed employee.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each demographic, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'Therefore', 'Additionally', and 'For instance' are used to guide the reader. However, there is some mechanical use of these devices, and the flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by grammatical errors. Referencing is generally clear, but the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph could be smoother to improve the overall progression of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'inculcate', 'mitigate', and 'hectic schedules'. However, there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'law energy activities' (instead of 'low-energy') and 'every people' (instead of 'everyone'). These errors do not impede communication, but they demonstrate a lack of precision. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that word forms (e.g., noun vs. adjective) are used correctly in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('specific hobby play', 'them become fit') and article usage. Some sentences are also slightly awkward, such as 'want some time to escape them from stressful environment'. While these errors rarely impede communication, they are persistent enough to prevent a higher score. You should focus on proofreading for basic agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed with accurate verb forms.
