Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this technical era it is hard to find those people who are interested in one specific task. According to me, it is important for people to have at least one hobby in their life. To support my point of view the reasons will be discused in the following paragraphs.
The primary reason for my opinion is it work as relaxing therapy for them. To make it more clear , if individual have hobby then they can do it when they are feeling tired after doing hectic work. For example, my grandmother has hobby of kneeting and when she feels tired from her daily chores, she prefer to do kneeting different things. So, it is important to have one hobby in life.
The another reason of this is that they can use this hobby as to gain success in their life. To explain it, if pupils, elder people have any hobby and then they use it as earning basis. To instance, a news revealed in the newspaper 'Aaj tak' revealed that a person who living in the small village started giving singing class because ha has hobby to sing when he have time and now he make it his passion to gain success in his life with his hobby and earn money.
To conclude it, i firmly believe that having good hobby in person is crucial to gain success and relax in stressed life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The student addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that having a hobby is important, presenting reasons such as relaxation and potential career success. However, the response is significantly underdeveloped, containing only 234 words and thereby failing the minimum requirement of 250 words. The supporting examples, such as the grandmother knitting or the news about a singer in a village, are somewhat simplistic and lack deep elaboration. Furthermore, the task requires addressing different demographics mentioned in the prompt children, young adults, working people, and the retired, but the student only broadly mentions general groups without fully exploring these distinctions. As a result, the task is only partially addressed, aligning with a band 5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a brief conclusion, showing a basic attempt at paragraphing. However, the logical progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and awkward transitions, such as 'The primary reason for my opinion is it work as relaxing therapy for them' and 'The another reason of this is'. Cohesive devices are used mechanically and often inaccurately, and referencing is sometimes unclear, such as pronoun ambiguity in 'if individual have hobby then they can do it'. While there is an overall structure that makes the general meaning discernible, the faults in cohesion limit the score to a band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses a limited and repetitive range of vocabulary that is minimally adequate for the task. Words like 'important', 'hobby', and 'success' are repeated frequently without much variation. There are noticeable lexical and spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'discused', 'kneeting', 'To instance' instead of 'For instance', and 'ha has hobby'. These errors occasionally cause strain for the reader. While the writer attempts some less common phrases like 'hectic work' and 'earning basis', the execution is flawed, making a band 5 the most accurate descriptor for lexical resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control is weak. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'if individual have hobby', 'a person who living', and 'when he have time'. Punctuation is also problematic, notably with missing capitalization and comma splices or awkward phrasing like 'To make it more clear , if individual have hobby then they can do it'. Because the frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and complex structures are often faulty, this corresponds to a band 5.
