It is argued that to obtain one pastime activity is crucial for offsprings, young adults, professionals and the eldery people. I totally agree with this opinion as this may help in develop their critical thinking and generate income. This essay will discuss the reasons behind my opinion in detail in the following paragraphs.
The first reason why I agree that it is essential for all age of people to have some kind of recreational activity is development in critical-thinking skills. People get chance to solve problems and learn new concepts through pastime hobby. Moreover, this process can stimulate them to think about the tasks that they new do in their daily routine activity. For example, a person who solve a puzzle during his leisure time can think a lot to solve the puzzle. This can enhance their problem-solving skills as this can increase the thinking process.
Another main reason why it is beneficial for individuals to have at least one free time activity is it generates revenue. If a person doing one activity for extended period of time he become a master of that field. As a result, he can pursue his career in that field and earn money. For example, a person who is doing painting in his free time. He can generate income by selling his collection of paintings.
To conclude, I believe that it is vital for any age person to have at least one hobby as it helps to develop their thinking ability and they can earn money.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing whether people across different age groups should have a hobby, taking a clear stance of total agreement. The ideas are relevant and supported with explanations and examples, such as critical-thinking development and generating revenue through painting. However, the ideas lack full extension and suffer from some superficial reasoning and slight tautology, such as 'a person who solve a puzzle during his leisure time can think a lot to solve the puzzle.' While the position is clear and the task is fully covered, the depth of development aligns closely with the Band 6 descriptor, where relevant ideas are presented but remain somewhat under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical progression from introduction to body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately, with distinct paragraphs dedicated to different main reasons. Cohesive devices are employed to connect ideas, such as 'The first reason why', 'Moreover', 'For example', and 'Another main reason'. However, some referencing and cohesive elements feel slightly mechanical or repetitive, such as the rigid topic sentence structures ('The first reason why I agree...' and 'Another main reason why it is beneficial...'). This places the response comfortably at Band 6, where the arrangement is coherent overall, but cohesion can be faulty or mechanical.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common lexical items such as 'recreational activity', 'critical-thinking skills', and 'revenue'. However, there are noticeable word-choice errors, unnatural collocations, and morphological slips throughout the text. Examples include 'obtain one pastime activity' (instead of 'having at least one pastime'), 'offsprings' (an incorrect plural form for children), 'eldery people' (spelling and form error for elderly), and 'a person who is doing painting' (instead of 'painting as a hobby'). These inaccuracies do not severely impede communication, making the vocabulary profile fit the Band 6 descriptor well.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as conditional and relative clauses ('If a person doing one activity for extended period of time he become a master...'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors and omissions, particularly missing articles, subject-verb agreement issues, and tense inconsistencies. For instance, 'all age of people' should be 'all ages of people', 'a person who solve' should be 'solves', and 'If a person doing' is missing auxiliary verbs. While these errors occur frequently, they rarely impede overall communication. The command of grammar aligns with Band 6 expectations.
