Student answer (Band 5.5)
Siginificance of having a good hobby in a person will refect his innerperson. If the hobby is instilled in their early stages of their life brings lot of benefits, which can be carried all through their life. In my best knowledge I agree to this.
Firstly ideal mind is devil's workshop ,so when children are occupied with their favourite hobbies they would find a way to burn their energy in a good way. Moreover children now a days are misled by lot of social media influencer . If they focus on their hobbies they would be a better version themselfs. For instances ,stamp ,coin.shell collections .Help children to gain more knowledge and be more productive in their academics.
Secondly these hobbies are transferred as they grow into young adults. They might come up with exploring the countries which they collected as coin or stamps. Unfortunately letters are not written now a days,So they might know the importance of exploring physically not virtually.
They can embrace their culture ,tradition and their roots through their hobbies.
Finally when they turn old these hobbies which they did turns out to be a great memories which they might transfer to their offsprings. Memories which can be handed out to their younger generation with lot of information about their past. To cite an example , Many grandparents handed down their collections to their loved ones. This may influence the family to come up with different hobbies for their future wellbeing.
To conclude with having a hobby as a person is not benefical to your ownself ,but to your entire generation. Because it is vicious cycle which gets moving around. good hobbies bring out the good in every being. Unwinding from monotony and find a hobby to ease and rejuvenate .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the importance of hobbies across different life stages, including children, young adults, and the retired. The writer clearly states a position in the introduction, declaring 'In my best knowledge I agree to this,' and supports it with examples across the body paragraphs, such as stamp and coin collecting. However, some ideas are underdeveloped or lack full extension. For instance, the transition from collecting coins to exploring countries in young adulthood is mentioned briefly without deep elaboration. While all parts of the prompt are addressed, the depth of exploration corresponds to a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs representing different life stages, moving from childhood to young adulthood and old age, with a clear introduction and conclusion. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'Firstly,' 'Secondly,' and 'Finally,' although some transitions are mechanical or awkward, as seen in 'To conclude with having a hobby as a person is not benefical to your ownself.' Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'which they collected as coin or stamps' where the antecedent is ambiguous. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, guiding the reader through the progression of ideas, placing this text firmly at a Band 6.0 level.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student attempts a range of vocabulary appropriate for the topic, including terms like 'rejuvenate,' 'monotony,' 'offsprings,' and 'wellbeing.' However, there are numerous lexical and collocational errors throughout the text, such as 'Siginificance' (spelling), 'refect' (spelling), 'innerperson' (word formation), 'ideal mind is devil's workshop' (incorrect idiom usage for 'idle mind'), and 'benefical' (spelling). The range is adequate for the task, but errors in word choice and spelling occasionally impede smooth reading, reflecting the characteristics of a Band 5.5 performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ('If the hobby is instilled...') and relative clauses. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in punctuation, article usage, and subject-verb agreement. Examples include 'If they focus on their hobbies they would be a better version themselfs,' 'For instances ,stamp ,coin.shell collections .Help children,' and 'Because it is vicious cycle.' These persistent errors and punctuation issues place the grammar score at a Band 5.0, as errors frequently cause some difficulty for the reader and simple structures are often flawed.
