Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, perple are much busy in their work lives and they do not have time for themselves. But it plays essential role in our life to have particular interest in something even if we are teenagers, youth, working or in old age. As per my perspective, it is great for humans physical and mental well-being. I will discuss about this phenomenon in upcoming paragraphs.
The first and foremost reason behind this is having hobbies are really significant for body and mind. To elaborate it, in these days everybody is working hard to maintain their status and lifestyles. So folks are doing 8 or 10 our shifts for earning more and even on weekends. As a result, this whole routine effects the health physically and emotionaly. If individuals have at least one hobby ,they can have some relaxation by doing their favourite activities rather than working all the time which will put good impacts in personal life and enhances the happy and healthy living . It contributes towards the work- life balance .
The another factor is that focusing on hobbies or interests can improve the skills and it is better to continue work or business in the same fields. In other words, people who love to dance, singing and acting can go forward with their likings to grow in their life by following their own intersts. For example , a survey conducted by "News of India" about making the passion to career showed that 90% people who made it happen to convert their hobbies into businesses are most successful then those who don't have any of the hobbies.
In conclusion, everyone have to participate in activities which they like or to perform things what they want to. It gives happiness and acts as stress-buster . By this way, people can choose their career for their growth in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing why hobbies are important for different age groups and working statuses, and clearly states the author's opinion that hobbies are beneficial for physical and mental well-being. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed, with specific mention of working hours and stress-relief. However, some arguments, such as the transition from hobbies to careers, tend to generalize slightly without deeper exploration, placing this firmly at a Band 6.5 or 7.0 level. The student successfully covers all prompt elements and presents a clear position throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, dividing the introduction, body paragraphs addressing different angles, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used adequately, such as 'The first and foremost reason', 'To elaborate it', and 'In conclusion'. However, referencing and transitions are sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'The another factor is that...' and 'By this way, people can choose...'. These minor issues with logical flow and cohesion prevent the essay from reaching a higher band.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using terms like 'well-being', 'work-life balance', and 'stress-buster'. There are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'perple' instead of 'people', 'effects' instead of 'affects', 'emotionaly' instead of 'emotionally', and 'intersts'. Furthermore, some collocations are slightly unnatural, like 'doing 8 or 10 our shifts'. Despite these inaccuracies, the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the intended meaning without impeding communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as 'If individuals have at least one hobby ,they can have some relaxation...'. There are several grammatical and punctuation errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'everyone have to participate' and spelling/typographical errors like 'our shifts' for 'hour shifts'. Punctuation around commas is also occasionally faulty. While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede communication, allowing the response to secure a solid Band 6.0.
