can take out their stress
In today's world, adolescents, teenagers, working professionals, and retirees should adopt their favorite hobby to cope with stress or fill their free time. In my opinion, the significance of a hobby in humans plays a substantial role in their development.
Nowadays, Universities are giving extra burden on students. For example, China conducts a national-level exam every year in which millions of students take part; a study found that those who enjoy their favorite hobby while studying scored highest in the exam. Therefore, enjoying a hobby can decrease your stress levels.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response responds to the task only minimally and fails to meet the word count requirement, stopping abruptly at 147 words instead of the minimum 250. Because the text is significantly under length, the main body paragraphs remain incomplete, leaving the final point unfinished. While the writer manages to introduce a clear stance in the introductory paragraph and presents some relevant ideas regarding stress relief in universities and workplaces, the development of these ideas is severely restricted due to the lack of overall length. To reach a higher level, the writer would need to fully expand all parts of the prompt with well-supported arguments and meet the required word count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some basic organization with an introduction and initial body paragraphs, but the text lacks an overall logical progression because the essay is cut short. Cohesive devices are used in a simple manner, such as 'For example' and 'Moreover', but referencing and linking between ideas are basic. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph breaks off mid-sentence, preventing a complete and coherent conclusion. For further progression, the writer must ensure that all paragraphs are fully fleshed out and connected with a greater variety of cohesive devices, and a proper concluding paragraph is necessary to bring the essay to a logical finish.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is minimally adequate for the task, demonstrating some attempts to use less common words and phrases such as 'working professionals', 'significance', and 'well-being'. However, there are noticeable limitations and occasional inaccuracies in word choice or collocation, such as 'giving extra burden' instead of 'placing an extra burden' or 'giving rise to a burden'. These errors do not completely impede communication, but they restrict the range of vocabulary. To improve lexical resource, the writer should focus on natural collocations, precise word forms, and incorporating a wider and more precise range of academic or semi-formal vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writing displays a limited range of sentence structures, featuring a mix of simple forms and some basic complex attempts. There are several grammatical errors and awkward phrasings present throughout the text, such as 'the significance of a hobby in humans plays a substantial role' and the incomplete sentence structure at the end of the text. While these errors rarely completely obscure the core meaning, they occur frequently enough to impact readability. To achieve a higher score, the writer needs to demonstrate a wider variety of complex grammatical structures with a higher degree of accuracy and ensure that all sentences are grammatically complete.
