Nowadays, people focus on the leisure activities along with their personal responsibilites. Some people believe that it is crucial for everyone to have an extra-cirrcular pursuit. I strongly support this notion and discuss the benefits of such as having a hobby it keeps an individual fit and so on in upcoming paragraphs.
Firstly, if a child develop a hobby in his childhood it will helps in his studies. Leisure activities for instance, reading provides them better understanding of the school concepts and it also enhance reading skills. Currently, most of the kids love to spend their extra time in front of screen, by developing hobby like reading might reduce their screen time; which may result in obtaining better grades at school. In addition, young adults get involed in activites like singing which helps them to make new friends. For example, in a podcast a famous singer reveal that he started singing as a hobby, later on his friends encouraged him and he started professional singing.
Furthermore, people who work in a office should develop some leasure pursuit because they might get exhausted due to their working conditions. Some recrational activites like meditation helps them to relax. For instance, according to a survey people who choose meditation as hobby are more clam and productive as compare to others. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You successfully address all parts of the prompt by presenting a clear position and discussing the importance of hobbies across various age groups, from children and young adults to working people and the retired. Your main position is supported throughout the response. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others, which places your task response in the middle range. For example, your discussion on children and reading is relatively well supported with examples of reducing screen time, whereas other sections, such as the introduction's mention of fitness or the brief concluding points, tend to be more generalized and slightly underdeveloped. To move to a higher level, ensure that every body paragraph fully explores its respective point with extended explanations and concrete examples rather than relying on brief assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
Your essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure your ideas logically by age group, dedicating specific paragraphs to children, young adults, working people, and older individuals. You utilize some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'In addition', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader through your arguments. However, the progression is sometimes slightly mechanical, and referencing is not always clear, such as in the final sentence where referencing pronouns like 'their' and 'it' becomes a bit muddled ('having at least one hobby have their own all stages of life'). To achieve a higher score, work on making transitions smoother and ensuring that cohesive devices are integrated naturally rather than feeling formulaic, while maintaining clear referential links throughout.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task and attempt to use some less common items such as 'extra-curricular', 'recreational', and 'exhausted'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors ('extra-cirrcular', 'involed', 'activites', 'leasure', 'clam', 'plysical') and occasional inaccuracies in word choice or word form, such as writing 'if a child develop' instead of 'develops' or 'a hobby like reading might reduce' where collocation and form could be sharper. These errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict your score. To reach a higher level, focus on expanding your control of less common vocabulary, improving precision in word choice and collocations, and paying closer attention to accurate spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You display a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting complex structures through conditional clauses and relative clauses, such as 'if a child develop a hobby in his childhood it will helps in his studies.' However, there are several grammar and punctuation errors present throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('a child develop... it will helps'), missing articles, and awkward prepositional or structural phrasing. These errors reflect a typical profile where a mix of structures is attempted, but recurring grammatical inaccuracies persist. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence mechanics, ensuring correct verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and polishing complex sentence structures so they remain largely error-free.
