Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is really important for children, young adults, working people and the retired to have at least one hobby. I would really appreciate and recommend to have a hobby in routine life.
Hobby is what makes people's life interesting, adventurous and fun. Sometimes, through multiple hobbies children can explore what they want in life. Parents can have orientation about their children's interests and they can take decisions for their future. There are many sports which can be played as a hobby by young adults to keep them healthy and physically fit.
A hobby brings a moment of peace, isolation, and calm by isolating us from the daily monotonous routine. It can be anything from everyday evening walk, reading a book, and exploring the history or the philosophy. It will keep the life of a working as well as a retired people in an order. In old age, one can avoid any kind of depression, anxiety, and stress by having a hobby which will keep their life busy and purposeful.
For Instance, researches have proved a man is all about the hobbies it takes. Children are the products of their surroundings. Dr Arfa siddique became a software developer at the age of six. Mr. Arshad Nadeem became the gold champion by following his hobby in jevoline throw. I believe, Hobby plays a significant role in boosting confidence and self esteerm. Additionally, it keeps you socially active, physically fit, and motivated.
In conclusion, I would recommend to have at least one hobby so that one's life can be adventurous, fun, one step ahead than others who do not have any kind of hobby.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the opening: you support having a hobby, and the conclusion restates this view. You address several age groups and give relevant reasons, including children exploring interests, sports supporting young adults’ fitness, and hobbies helping older people manage stress. The examples of Arfa Siddique and Arshad Nadeem also attempt to illustrate how interests can shape achievement. This meets the task well, but the support is uneven: the claims about parents making decisions for children and hobbies preventing depression are asserted rather than explained, and the examples are not clearly connected to the wider benefits of hobbies. To strengthen the response further, develop fewer points with specific explanations and make each example directly support your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs of reasons, an example paragraph, and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from children and young adults to working and retired people, which helps the reader follow the discussion. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “For Instance” introduces claims that do not clearly follow from the preceding paragraph, and “Additionally” adds a benefit without showing how it relates to the examples. The phrase “It will keep the life of a working as well as a retired people in an order” also makes the reference and intended connection difficult to follow. Use clearer topic sentences and link each example explicitly to the point it illustrates; vary transitions rather than relying on simple additions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “monotonous routine,” “purposeful,” “physically fit,” and “socially active.” These choices help communicate several relevant benefits, and the meaning is generally understandable. However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “orientation about their children's interests,” “a moment of peace, isolation,” and “a man is all about the hobbies it takes.” There are also spelling and form errors, including “jevoline” and “self esteerm,” which reduce precision. Aim for natural combinations such as “gain insight into their children’s interests” and “develop self-esteem.” Checking spelling and choosing precise phrases will make your vocabulary more effective and flexible.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including the sentence beginning “Sometimes, through multiple hobbies…” and the clause “by having a hobby which will keep their life busy and purposeful.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “I would really appreciate and recommend to have” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “a working as well as a retired people” has problems with articles and number agreement. In “It can be anything from everyday evening walk,” the singular count noun needs an article, and “Hobby plays” is inconsistent with the general plural meaning. Practise verb patterns after “recommend,” article use, and subject–verb agreement, then proofread sentences for these recurring issues.
