Student answer (Band 5.5)
It ia necessary for kids, youngsters, working individuals and the pensioners to have atleast one hobby.
In my own opinion, It is very necessary for every individual to have their own hobby because hobbies can make us feel good and make friends.
Firstly, hobbies can make us feel good and physically fit because it is one way to exercise our body to make us strong enough to survive our daily life. One example is my grandfather, even he was old already but he still make his hoobby everyday which make alive and strong.
Secondly, while you are doing your hobby you can also having a lot of friends. For instance playing basketball you can incounter more individuals while you are playing. Some guys will make friends with and invite you to play in their place. Once you incounter more friends you are famous already and thats the reason why having hooby is very important
To conclude, hobby is very important to everybody to help our body away from any illnes and you can also have a lot of friends encounter.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear opinion that hobbies are important and provide two relevant reasons: they can support physical well-being and help people make friends. The examples of your grandfather and playing basketball help connect these points to real situations. However, the ideas remain limited and are not developed enough to fully explain how hobbies benefit people at different life stages; the task specifically mentions children, young adults, workers and retirees. The conclusion repeats the main points rather than adding a final insight. The response is also 70 words below the required minimum, so there is not enough space to develop your reasons and examples fully. Explain each benefit in more detail and add a further specific example or explanation for each point.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
Your response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion summarises your position. The signposts “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “To conclude” make the sequence easy to follow. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, “Once you incounter more friends you are famous already” does not clearly explain how making friends leads to becoming famous. The second body paragraph also runs several ideas together without enough sentence separation. Use linking phrases to show cause and effect more precisely, and make sure each paragraph develops one main point in a clear sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “physically fit,” “exercise,” and “make friends.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the writing less clear or natural. “Make alive and strong” is an awkward expression for describing your grandfather’s health, while “friends encounter” does not express the intended idea naturally. There are also repeated forms such as “hobby” and “friends,” and spelling errors including “hoobby,” “incounter,” and “illnes.” Build a wider set of accurate phrases for discussing health, social connection and leisure, and check spelling carefully so that the reader can understand your meaning without hesitation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate your opinion using mostly simple sentence patterns and make some attempts to connect clauses, such as “because hobbies can make us feel good and make friends.” However, the range of structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “it is one way to exercise our body” has a number-agreement problem, and “he still make” uses the wrong verb form. In “you can also having a lot of friends,” the verb pattern is incorrect. Some sentences also combine several clauses without clear punctuation, particularly in the basketball example. Practise subject–verb agreement, verb forms after modal verbs, and sentence boundaries; then add a few accurately controlled complex sentences.
