Even at different stages of life, it is beneficial to have at least one leisure activity which is enjoyed by individuals. I am in support in view of the fact that hobbies play a very crucial role in relax, refresh and improve mental well-being.
On the primary, advantage of having hobby is that it relaxes people mind and provide a sense of purpose. A hobby is an activity that individual enjoys thoroughly from their soul. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction, where you support having a hobby, and it remains consistent through the conclusion. You address the different life stages in the prompt by discussing children, adults and retired people, and give relevant reasons such as stress relief, skill development and fitness. Examples including painting, building blocks and swimming help make the argument concrete. This meets the task well, although some points are asserted more than fully explained: for instance, the claim that a childhood hobby can become a profession is not illustrated, and the benefits for young adults are less distinct from those for working adults. Develop these ideas with a specific example and explain more clearly how each benefit applies to the group concerned.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present supporting reasons, and a conclusion summarises the position. Ideas generally progress logically, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “In addition” and “For example” help signal relationships between points. The paragraphing is appropriate and the reader can follow the argument throughout. At times, however, the links feel formulaic, and some references are not fully clear—for example, “They may also find a sense of purpose” could specify whether “they” means people developing skills or those choosing a hobby as a profession. Group related examples more tightly and use pronouns with unmistakable referents to make the progression smoother and less dependent on signposting phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “mental well-being,” “fine motor skills,” “sense of purpose” and “cognitive stimulation.” These choices allow you to discuss several benefits rather than relying only on basic terms. You also attempt more expressive phrasing, such as “far from a mere waste of time,” though some combinations are inaccurate or unnatural: “relax, refresh,” “from their soul,” and “a great stress” do not fit idiomatic English. There are also word-form or spelling slips, including “metal well-being” and “past times.” Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling and word forms; this will make your meaning sound more natural while preserving the range you are attempting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses of reason and result (“which effect…,” “thus reduces…”) and conditional phrasing (“if retired individual loves swimming”). Most sentences remain understandable, and the errors do not generally prevent the reader from following your argument. Some grammatical inaccuracies recur, however, particularly with articles, agreement and verb forms: “having hobby,” “it relaxes people mind and provide,” and “which help” need more accurate forms. There are also problems with infinitive patterns, as in “It allows to forget.” Review article use, singular/plural agreement and the structure of verbs after “allow.” More consistent control of these patterns would make the complex sentences clearer and more accurate.
