Student answer (Band 5.5)
At any age of your life engaging in some sort of activity is ideal whether it is sport, Reading, learning new skill is always beneficial. Having an interesting hobby have become a new trend nowadays. More and more people are trying to get to fresh set of activity apart from their day-to-day lives.
Furthermore, Children and young adultsshould get hobbies that build them life skill such as sports, Wood working and trvelling to new destination. I personally think that travelling is one of the crucial way to learn about your self and try to find puropse. People who are working immensely should also take days off and get in to some hobbies that give them peace and quiet time from stress like farming, building something that take days and you work on it every weekend. And retired people should also pick up some activities such as Reading, walking. Although there are such benefit to have a interesting hobby apart from your life, some will argue that they don't have sufficient time to give it to new things and things that they interested in, due to poor work-life balance and work stress and takind care of other and dealing with their own problems. Such envirement are also hinders new ideas and personal time.
I firmly belive that one should have enough personal time to enjoy what they desire. My weekends are always occupied with me cooking my favourite foods, as cooking is enjoy doing.
Striking a balance between your work and resposibilities and hobby is efficient way to win life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address the topic and make your position clear: you believe people of all ages benefit from having a hobby, and your final paragraph reinforces this with your example of cooking on weekends. You also consider children, young adults, working people and retirees, so the response covers the groups named in the prompt. However, these groups are not explored equally: the suggestions for children and workers include some explanation, while the points about retirees are brief, and the claim that travel helps people find purpose is not developed with a specific example. To strengthen the response, explain more fully how hobbies benefit different age groups and support your main reasons with concrete examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is an overall progression from the general value of hobbies, to examples for different age groups, and then to your personal opinion and conclusion. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “Although” show attempts to connect ideas. However, the long middle paragraph combines several groups, a counterargument and a response, making the progression difficult to follow. Some links are also unclear, as in “Such environment are also hinders new ideas,” where the relationship to the previous point is not fully explained. Use separate paragraphs for the age groups and the counterargument, and make each paragraph’s main point explicit before adding examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “work-life balance,” “personal time,” “stress,” and “activities,” and you attempt more specific examples such as “woodworking” and “farming.” This gives you enough vocabulary to communicate your main ideas. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “get to fresh set of activity,” “crucial way,” and “win life.” Spelling errors such as “puropse,” “trvelling,” and “envirement” also reduce accuracy and can distract the reader. Aim for natural combinations and check spelling carefully; for example, say that hobbies “provide a break from work” rather than “give them peace and quiet time from stress.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “Although” and a sentence explaining why some people lack time for hobbies. The main message is generally understandable, but errors in agreement, articles and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “Having an interesting hobby have become” should use a singular verb, while “there are such benefit” needs a plural noun and a different determiner. The final sentence, “Striking a balance between your work and resposibilities and hobby is efficient way to win life,” is also difficult to parse because its structure is incomplete or unclear. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and building complete, clearly structured sentences.
