Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that is an important for children, young adults, working people and the retired people to have at least one hobby. While people believe this is not true.I completely agreed with this viewpoint. This essay will explain my position by discussing two main reasons according to my point.
The primary reason I agree is that it is a crucial for children, young adults, working people and the retired people to have atleast one hobby. This is because without any hobby life become dull. For instance, in this era everyone busy in their daily life obstacles and work. So,they have no time to enjoy nature. If a person has at least one hobby in his life.Due to this, his life not become too dull because any type of hobby provides willpower.Consequently,a man become very productive in his work either he is a children, young adult, working man and retired man.
Another compelling argument is that busy routine life makes a man lazzy and this man suffered from many diseases. It is not crucial for his physically and mentally health. For instance,a student study for 8 hours a day after his study he become mentally tired. So, in this condition, any type of hobby is required to keep this student fresh. As a result,he do well in study and prepared properly for exams.Hence,It is important for children, adults, working people and retired man.
In conclusion,I strongly agree is that it is crucial to have a hobby for children, student and employee because it is important for remain physically and mentally fit and it also helps to keen our focus on our desire goal.Considering these viewpoints,I firmly believe that this perspective is most practical and beneficil.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agreed”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give two relevant reasons: hobbies can make life less dull and may support people’s physical and mental wellbeing. The examples about a busy person and a student studying for eight hours help connect these ideas to different age groups. This fully addresses the task’s central question, and the response shows some development beyond simply stating an opinion. However, the first example is general, and the link between hobbies and becoming “very productive” is asserted rather than explained. The discussion also focuses mainly on students and working adults, with little specific consideration of children or retired people. More precise, developed examples would strengthen the argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “The primary reason,” “Another compelling argument,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with repeated transitions such as “For instance,” “As a result,” and “Hence,” rather than links that show the exact relationship between ideas. Some references are unclear: “this man” and “this student” are repeated, while the shift from a student’s tiredness to exam preparation is abrupt. The opening sentence, “While people believe this is not true,” is also not clearly connected to the following position. Use clearer referencing and develop each example in a more logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main points, including “hobby,” “daily life,” “mentally tired,” “productive,” and “physically and mentally fit.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “Another compelling argument” and “Considering these viewpoints.” However, the range is limited by repeated words such as “important,” “hobby,” and “man,” and several choices or collocations are inaccurate: “life obstacles,” “provides willpower,” and “keen our focus” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Spelling errors such as “lazzy” and “beneficil” also reduce precision. Aim for more varied, accurate expressions for wellbeing, leisure, and concentration, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure (“If a person has at least one hobby…”) and a reason clause (“This is because…”). The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur often enough to make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “life become dull” needs subject–verb agreement, while “a student study for 8 hours” and “he do well” have incorrect verb forms. “I completely agreed with this viewpoint” also uses an unsuitable tense for a present opinion. Several sentence boundaries are faulty, as in “If a person has at least one hobby in his life.Due to this…”. Practise accurate present-tense patterns and use full stops and commas to separate complete clauses.
