Student answer (Band 5.0)
Everyone have so many hobbies in their life to do whatever they want. However, Some people think that having a only one hobby is important and play integral part in their life. But I would say having many hobbies have their own benefits which i can discuss in upcoming paragraphs.
First of all, having so many hobbies in our life have more benfits but its usally depend upon the age. Likely, if i talk about the young adults, they always want to learn new things in their life. For example, when i was young i was keen intersted to learn about cricket but when i saw the footballs matches so my intrest was converted on other things. Moreover, working people and retired one always think aboutb how we can save our time so they think having only one hobby is important and good for health.
on the other side, there is so many benefits of having a one hobby at a time because they can more focused on one hobby and learn more about the particular hobby they do. lastly, in the situation of young adults, i would say having so many hobbies is important. Therfore, if they can indulge in two to three hobbies they will be multitasking and learn more about the hobbies.
In conclusion, i think that having at least one hobby is important because young adult, working people have so many stress in their work but having one hobby they can fresh their mind to do that particular hobby in their life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a recognisable opinion that hobbies are beneficial, and the examples about changing interests from cricket to football and using hobbies to relieve work stress are relevant. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening contrasts “many hobbies” with “only one,” while the conclusion supports having at least one, without clearly explaining whether you agree with the task’s claim or favour several. The discussion also shifts between age groups but does not fully explain why each group needs a hobby; for instance, the point about working and retired people saving time is unclear. To strengthen the response, state your view directly and develop a few relevant reasons with clearer explanations and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “First of all,” “on the other side” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to organise ideas. However, progression is difficult to follow because the central argument shifts between having many hobbies and having one. The second paragraph combines age-based observations with an unclear point about saving time, while the next paragraph repeats the contrast rather than building a clear line of reasoning. Some linking phrases are used mechanically or do not accurately express the relationship between ideas. Organise each paragraph around one main point, connect examples directly to that point, and use referencing and transitions that make the argument’s direction clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “integral part,” “focused,” “multitasking” and “stress,” so the reader can generally understand the subject and your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts awkward or unclear, such as “save our time,” “fresh their mind,” “football matches” written as “footballs matches,” and “intrest.” Repeated use of “hobby,” “important” and “so many” also limits precision. Build a wider set of natural expressions for discussing leisure and wellbeing, and check spelling and collocations. More accurate choices would make your examples and comparisons easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “when” and “because,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence patterns and more complex attempts. Examples include “Everyone have,” “having many hobbies have,” and “there is so many benefits,” where subject–verb agreement is faulty. Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “having a only one hobby” and “when I saw the footballs matches so my interest was converted.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including lowercase “on the other side” after a paragraph break. Practise accurate agreement, articles and clause structure before adding more complex sentences.
