Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is important to children, young alduts, working people and retired to have atleast one hobby. In my opinion on this is yes. You need atleast one hobby for you self even if your old.
In this matter i can stay physically and mentally fit. Like playing basketball or any ball sports. It has a lot of health benefits i can get. And having new friends, encounter different people.
When i was child my hobby is to play basketball and volleyball even when i grow up until now, I'm working, if i have a chance i always play basketball most especially when i need to lost weight. I will play basketball, everytime.
Like for example i have an health issue about diabetes. My blood sugar is not stable most of the time if i check its too high even if i have maintenance for this issue. After i eat my breakfast i prefer my self go to the basketball court and i play this hobby of mine helps me loose my weight. Theres no reason for me to spent money just to loose weight.
Overall, on that having at least one hobby in every people. Will save too much time, money. Also you can do as hangout with you family or friend. Most specially for i have son that was player in his school. I have the chance to teach him all the skills and knowledge playing basket that he can adopt while he was inside the court.. This was the benefit and advantage having one hobby every people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that people of all ages should have a hobby, and you give relevant reasons, including physical health, social contact and spending time with family. The personal example about playing basketball to manage your weight and diabetes helps make the argument concrete. However, the response addresses the topic only partially because several points are asserted rather than explained. For example, “having new friends” is mentioned without showing how a hobby helps build relationships, and the claim that hobbies “will save too much time, money” is unclear. Develop fewer reasons more fully, explain their benefits, and make the conclusion directly summarise why hobbies matter across different age groups.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: it introduces your opinion, gives reasons and personal examples, then ends with a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main topic. However, the overall progression is not always clear, and some ideas appear abruptly. “In this matter i can stay physically and mentally fit” does not clearly connect to the preceding sentence, while the final paragraph shifts from saving money to family activities and teaching your son without a clear link. Connect each paragraph’s main idea to its examples, and use linking phrases accurately rather than relying on repeated “And,” “Like,” and “Overall.” Clearer references would also help readers follow who “you” refers to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate basic ideas, including “hobby,” “health benefits,” “blood sugar,” and “skills and knowledge.” The basketball example also gives your response some relevant language beyond general statements. However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, spelling and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand. Phrases such as “lost weight,” “loose my weight,” “maintenance for this issue,” and “do as hangout” are inaccurate or unnatural. Repetition of “hobby,” “play,” and “benefit” also limits variety. Build a small set of accurate expressions for discussing exercise, health and social benefits, and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple sentences and longer sentences that include reasons or examples, such as the sentence beginning “After i eat my breakfast.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but the range remains limited and many sentences contain errors in tense, sentence structure, articles, agreement or punctuation. For example, “When i was child my hobby is to play” shifts between past and present, and “Overall, on that having at least one hobby in every people” is not a complete, well-formed sentence. Several clauses are joined without clear punctuation, as in the sentence about making new friends. Practise forming complete sentences, keeping verb tenses consistent, and checking articles and sentence boundaries.
