Student answer (Band 5.5)
I completly agree to the statement. it is absolutely important to have hobby for a children, young adults and retired and working people in thier life. The only thing is that, hobby should be stress free, enjoyable and bring happines for that particular person. The hobby can be any thing listening music, playing games, watching movies, stock marketing or anything which is good for the health such as Yoga, excercise.
A good hobby for a children brings happines for him/her as well as sometimes its improves excellence in thier skills and improve knowledge. For instance, even a child have a hobby to read books, that bring more idea and knowledge. But for a child, choice of selection of book is very crucial as well, For that parents can guide him/her to choose the books from their young age. Which leds to good reading habbit and gradually increase their ideology and passion for good reading.
In the situation of a working professional, a good hobby paved way for reducing stress level beacuse of the work related matter. For example, a man who is doing gym after his work from duty can bring so much relief and will reduce the stress from the job and absoulty increase his energy and reduce the negative impact on body because of the long hours of sitting on the chair.
But, Now a days, people are more addicted to mobile phones because of social media such as facebook, instagram, tik tok and so and so. They are spending more time on it rather than following time for their hobbies such as children are more addicted to mobile phone even though they had a good hobby which brought out happines and satisfaction.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening: you completely agree that people of different ages should have a hobby. You give relevant reasons, including children gaining knowledge through reading and workers reducing stress through exercise, and these examples help address the task. However, the discussion is uneven: the benefits for children and working adults receive examples, while young adults and retired people are mentioned mainly in the introduction and are not explored. The final paragraph raises mobile-phone use, but its connection to your opinion and the effects on different age groups are not fully explained. Develop this point and add a specific reason or example for the groups not yet discussed to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs about children and working adults, and a final paragraph about mobile-phone use. Examples generally follow the points they support, so the reader can follow the main line of argument. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “But, Now a days” introduces a contrast without clearly showing how it qualifies your agreement, and the final sentence shifts from phone use to hobbies without explaining the relationship. The child paragraph also moves from reading benefits to parental guidance and then to outcomes in a long sequence. Use clearer topic sentences and link each example explicitly to your main claim; check pronoun references such as “that” and “it” for clarity.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “stress level,” “work related,” “skills,” “knowledge,” and “satisfaction.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “negative impact” and “social media.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word combinations are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “happines,” “thier,” “paved way,” and “increase their ideology” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Some wording is also repetitive, particularly “good hobby” and “happines.” Build accuracy by learning common collocations and checking spelling, and choose precise terms—for example, “broaden a child’s knowledge” rather than “increase their ideology.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional and relative structures such as “even a child have a hobby to read books” and “a man who is doing gym after his work.” This shows an effort to vary sentence forms, and the main message is usually understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries. For example, “for a children” has an incorrect article and plural, while “its improves” and “even a child have” have agreement errors. The opening also begins a new sentence with lowercase “it,” and several long sentences are joined or punctuated unclearly. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and article use, and divide longer ideas into complete, clearly punctuated sentences.
