Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's competitive world, I believe that people from every age group should have at least one hobbie to relieve themselves from daily struggle. Children and young adults are stressed with assignments and tests from educational institutions, whereas people at work are hustling hard to get a better life. Even a retired individual have to change his lifestyle after worklife. Everyone should have add some hobbies to their daily routine.
Firstly, the offsprings should be taught extra co-curricular activitites, so they feel bit refreshed. Activities like playing soccer, drawing, singing would benefit the juvenile to pick some hobbies. Recent studies reveal children participating in co-curricular activites develop their communication and social skills. Therefore, the confidence they gain from these activites compliment them in getting good grades. In addition, young adults that are stressing on completing their degrees, and looking for career prospets, should also seek for something they like to do whether its reading books, listening music, running as a hobby to relax themselves and enjoy their teenage life.
Moving forward, people who are working and bound with the pressure of deadline should add some hobbies that give them a break from their worklife. Work-life balance is important for an individual to maintain his health. For instance, according to 2025 thousands of people are suffering from depression and anxiety some of them leading to heart attack or suicide. This is why having some hobbies is a vital necessity to maintain work-life balance. Retired people are also struggling to figure out their lifestyle. They should be moving around to keep themselves in good shape and active. Activities like gardening and sitting with their neighbors, socializing will be a perfect hobbies for them
To conclude, every age group should have atleast one hobby to make their lifestyle better and to be healthy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you believe people of every age should have a hobby, and you address children, young adults, workers and retirees. Relevant reasons include relaxation, social skills, work-life balance and staying active in retirement. The examples of soccer, reading and gardening help make the discussion concrete. However, the groups are not developed equally: the points about children and workers receive some explanation, while the young-adult and retired sections are briefer and less clearly supported. The claim about depression, anxiety and serious outcomes is also broad and introduced without a clear source or explanation. To strengthen the response, explain more precisely how each hobby benefits its age group and use specific, credible examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around age groups, and a conclusion that restates your view. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Moving forward” and “To conclude” help readers follow the main stages. Within paragraphs, however, some links feel mechanical, and the shift from young adults to workers and then retirees in the second body paragraph makes its focus less controlled. A few references are also unclear, such as “these activities” after several different activities and benefits have been mentioned. Grouping related age groups more deliberately, using clearer topic sentences, and linking each example directly to the point it supports would make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic vocabulary, including “co-curricular activities,” “communication and social skills,” “work-life balance” and “socializing.” These choices help convey ideas about education, wellbeing and retirement. However, several spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural collocations reduce accuracy, including “hobbie,” “activitites,” “career prospets,” “bound with the pressure” and “perfect hobbies.” Some expressions are also vague or informal for this essay, such as “get a better life” and “sitting with their neighbors.” Aim for more precise, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe workers as facing deadline pressure and retirees as maintaining social connections, rather than relying on less exact phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a contrast with “whereas” and a relative clause in “young adults that are stressing on completing their degrees.” Most of the meaning remains understandable, but some errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction affect accuracy. For example, “a retired individual have” should use a singular verb, and “Everyone should have add” combines incompatible verb forms. In “Activities like gardening and sitting with their neighbors, socializing will be a perfect hobbies,” the sentence structure and singular/plural agreement are unclear. Review subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and punctuate transitions consistently. More accurate control of these structures would make your ideas easier to read.
