Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a broadly supportive opinion and refer to children, young adults, working people and retired people, so the response is connected to the prompt. However, the position is not stated clearly as a direct answer, and several points do not explain why having a hobby is important. For example, studying is presented as a child’s hobby, while “make the word never give up as a hobbies” does not identify a specific hobby or show how it helps young adults. The final paragraph shifts to helping others and sharing experience without explaining how these activities function as hobbies for working people. Develop a clear central view and support each age-group example with a relevant explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has separate paragraphs for children, young adults, and older or working people, which gives it a basic structure and helps readers see the intended age-group coverage. Some linking words, such as “for instance” and “Also,” signal examples and additions. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the opening moves from a claim about hobbies to walking home, and the young-adult paragraph shifts from hobbies to financial problems and perseverance. Repeated use of “Also” and “for instance” makes connections feel mechanical, while references such as “they” and “his” are not always clear. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it in a logical sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “productive,” “pursuing their dreams,” “financial problem,” and “share his experiences.” These phrases show an effort to discuss benefits and challenges rather than relying only on very basic terms. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning difficult to follow, such as “more insteresting hobbies of their live,” “a normal to them,” and “make the word never give up as a hobbies.” Spelling errors, including “insteresting,” “theire”/“there” confusion, and “selve,” also reduce clarity. Build a more precise set of phrases for hobbies and their benefits, and check spelling and natural word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You try to form longer sentences using clauses and connectors, for example, “because they already used to it” and “when a child is not her/his hobby to study in school.” However, these attempts are often faulty, and sentence patterns remain limited. Errors in agreement and verb forms occur frequently: “Every people … has,” “Many people has,” and “he will not making” are examples. Articles, plurals, and sentence construction are also inconsistent, as in “a children” and “must have a hobbies.” These errors sometimes make the intended relationships between ideas hard to understand. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and articles.
