Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you agree that people of every age should have a hobby, and you address children, working adults and older people in separate examples. The suggestions—karate or swimming for children, meditation for workers, and gardening or walking for retirees—are relevant and show how hobbies may support wellbeing. This covers the task well, but the groups are not equally developed: the children’s paragraph focuses partly on parents arranging activities, while the benefits and personal reasons for having a hobby could be explained more directly. The conclusion repeats the general benefits but does not fully resolve the point that choosing a suitable hobby matters. Develop each example with a clearer explanation of its effect to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, three body paragraphs organised by age or life stage, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Lastly” make the progression easy to follow, and each paragraph has a recognisable main focus. However, the repeated listing of stages makes cohesion somewhat mechanical, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, “which leads to create a boredom in” does not clearly connect the lack of activity to the proposed hobbies, while the final paragraph moves from benefits to choosing a hobby without developing that connection. Use more varied transitions and make references explicit; ensure each paragraph’s supporting sentences build directly on its main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “creativity,” “physically fit,” “meditation,” “gardening,” and “immunity,” which helps communicate relevant ideas. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “forthcoming events” and “personal growth.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “get relaxaion,” “get energize,” “unuseful activity,” and “a boredom” are not natural forms in these contexts. Several spelling errors, including “devlopment,” “curriculam,” and “leisre,” also reduce accuracy. Build a reliable range of natural collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully; this would make your ideas clearer and more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “which” and purpose structures such as “to prevent it.” This gives the response some variety, and the main message is generally understandable. However, errors in sentence construction and grammatical patterns remain, particularly in longer sentences. For instance, “which leads to create a boredom in” is incomplete, and “they will not only keep them excited and busy but also gives them” has faulty parallel structure and agreement. In “help them to refresh their mind well prepare them,” the relationship between the actions is unclear. Review clause construction, subject–verb agreement, articles and parallel forms, then proofread punctuation and sentence boundaries. More accurate control of these structures would strengthen the response.
