Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You take a clear position in favour of hobbies, focusing on exercise and its health benefits. The examples of walking, jogging and skipping are relevant, and you mention obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes. However, the response addresses the topic only partially: the task asks about having at least one hobby, but you discuss exercise almost exclusively and do not explain how hobbies might benefit children, working people or retired people in different ways. The conclusion, “in conclusion i am of the opionio,” is unfinished and does not restate a complete view. The response is also below the required 250 words, so the ideas and examples remain substantially underdeveloped. Explain your reasons more fully and complete the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation: the response begins with your opinion, gives health-related reasons in the following paragraphs, and attempts a conclusion. “Furthermore” signals an additional point, and the examples of exercise follow the general claim about its benefits. However, the overall progression is limited, and the second and third paragraphs repeat the same focus on exercise and disease prevention rather than developing distinct points. Linking is sometimes awkward or unclear, as in “and also regular exercise prevents measure sicknesses, again through exercise prevents obesity.” The final sentence is incomplete, which leaves the response without a clear ending. Use separate paragraphs for different benefits, connect each example explicitly to your argument, and finish with a complete summary.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recreational exercise,” “obesity,” “High Blood Pressure” and “diabetes,” so the reader can identify your main subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the message difficult to follow. “Measure sicknesses” does not clearly express the intended meaning, while “contacting diseases” is an unnatural way to describe becoming ill. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “implimentation,” “enormouse” and “opionio,” and repeated use of “exercise” limits variety. Choose precise health and hobby vocabulary, check spelling, and avoid capitalising common disease names mid-sentence.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to connect ideas using clauses and phrases such as “so as to have a healthy life balance” and “where by blood circulates through out the entire body.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and attempts at longer sentences are often faulty or incomplete. For example, “I strongly have the opinion exercises should be implemented as a hobby” lacks a clear grammatical link between the opinion and the following clause. “Through implementation of exercises on daily routine … it comes with enormous benefit” also has an unclear subject and verb pattern. The final line is a sentence fragment. Improve control of sentence boundaries, articles and agreement, and practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause.
