Student answer (Band 6.0)
Spending leisure time in a creative and meaningful way is one of the best form to awaken, nourish the soul. Since technology has advanced, activities has lost it's worth and made people lethargic. According to my perspective, in every person's lives, there must be some hobbies to live a prosperous life especially for children when they are in their budding days and the individuals who are no longer working and stay at home.
It is undeniable that youngsters have been influenced by electronic gadgets. For instance, they spend hours scrolling social media without even realizing about time. Because of this, their eyes and nerves are badly impacted and end up wasting their free time. Instead, they can spend it in a more joyful manner which would be beneficial for their cognitive development. Children under 12 years can play outdoor can maintain physical fitness and interact with others outdoors. Furthermore, teenagers must have a hobby such as reading a book, learning a new activity or skill which would boost their confidence and will help their mind to rejuvenate and relax. Eventually, it would lead to greater productivity.
Apart from this, seniors who have stopped working must involve themselves in some sort of hobbies it will not only help them to spend their time in an interesting way but also will help them stay healthy. For example, grandparents can play with their grandchildren's after school such as Ludo which will entertain them. Also, they can waive a sweater from wool which would help them make strong family ties.
To conclude, I suggest all the generations to inculcate in activities as they help us to relax , entertain and help them spend their time in an effective manner.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you believe hobbies benefit people across generations, and you give relevant reasons for children, teenagers and retired people. Examples such as outdoor play, reading and grandparents playing Ludo help make the discussion concrete. However, the task names children, young adults, working people and retired people, while your response gives little attention to working people and does not clearly distinguish young adults from teenagers. Some claims, such as hobbies improving productivity or health, are asserted rather than explained. To strengthen the response, address each group explicitly and develop each main reason with a clearer explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, the body paragraphs discuss younger people and seniors, and a conclusion restates your recommendation. Linking phrases such as “For instance,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the progression. This meets the lower-band expectation for clear organisation and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. However, the opening paragraph introduces several ideas at once, and the transition from children to teenagers could be clearer. In the seniors paragraph, “must involve themselves in some sort of hobbies it will…” joins two ideas without adequate punctuation or a linking structure. Use clearer topic sentences and ensure each paragraph develops one connected line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range for the topic and attempt some less common expressions, including “cognitive development,” “rejuvenate,” “productivity” and “family ties.” These choices help communicate your ideas, although some are not used naturally or precisely. For example, “one of the best form” and “waive a sweater from wool” are awkward, while “budding days” is an unusual way to describe childhood. There are also spelling and word-form slips, such as “it's” for “its” and “grandchildren's” where the plural is intended. These do not prevent understanding, but more accurate collocations and careful proofreading would make your vocabulary more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional-style explanation beginning “Since technology has advanced” and a relative clause in “a hobby … which would boost their confidence.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “activities has lost” (subject–verb agreement), “in every person's lives” (number agreement), and “Children under 12 years can play outdoor can maintain…” (an incomplete or incorrectly joined structure). The sentence beginning “seniors who have stopped working” also needs a clear boundary between its clauses. Practise agreement, articles and sentence boundaries, then check each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
