Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is vey cricial to have atleast one hobby or skill for any age of person. It should be from pupils to retired or working employee. In my perspective, there should be one hobby that makes you happy.

A hobby is a thing that you do makes you pleaure it either sport activities, art, music or any other. As I observe that hobbies get changes over the time of period. For instance, learning students might have a hobby of playing a Ice-hockey. But has he or she experience a diferent endavour of the life it gets change. After passing teenage, might be love to art work like painting , stone carving etc. Change in hobby is not idea. The most important is make you feel cheerful at every movement of time.

Furthuremore, A recent study conduct by AIIMS Cognative Center shows that the most comman hobbies in childhood is reading a book in both gender male and female. 60 percent of female do read books from teenage and contnue same hobby even after retirement. Whereas, boy changes hobby with different statges of the life.

it also observed that in late stage of life at retirement age people like to do fishing.

In boarder sense, hobby varies from person to person and even region to region. Individual from North America and Europeans do their businesses as side hustle in late age of life. while in Aisan people love to travel across the world.

In conclusion, Have a atleast one hobby is essintial to keep you brain boost, which make you feel good. And also hobby variies from each individual in the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear general opinion that people of all ages should have a hobby, and you explain that hobbies can bring happiness and change over a person’s life. The examples of reading, painting, fishing and travel are relevant to the topic. However, the response only partially develops the reasons behind your view: the claim that hobbies “keep you brain boost” is not explained, and the discussion of changing hobbies does not clearly show why having at least one hobby is important. The AIIMS study and regional comparisons are presented as broad claims without explaining their connection to your argument. Develop two or three reasons more fully and support them with specific, credible examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and it moves from a general view to examples of hobbies. Some linking expressions, such as “For instance,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion,” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression is uneven: the paragraph about changing hobbies shifts abruptly to an alleged study, then to regional differences, without showing how each point supports the main opinion. Several sentences are difficult to connect, including “Change in hobby is not idea,” and the final paragraph largely repeats the opening. Use one clear focus per paragraph, explain the relationship between examples and your argument, and make references between sentences more explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “retirement,” “painting,” “stone carving,” “side hustle” and “varies from person to person.” This gives you some range beyond basic statements about hobbies. However, the range is limited and many spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “pleaure,” “comman,” “Cognative” and “brain boost.” Some expressions are also imprecise: “a different endeavour of the life” and “in boarder sense” do not communicate your intended meaning naturally. Check spelling carefully and choose familiar, accurate phrases rather than attempting expressions whose meaning is unclear. More precise vocabulary for benefits, life stages and examples would strengthen the argument.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures, for example, “For instance, learning students might have a hobby…” and the sentence beginning “Whereas.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, articles and agreement can make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “A hobby is a thing that you do makes you…,” “But has he or she experience…,” and “60 percent of female do read books.” Sentence fragments also occur, such as “Whereas, boy changes hobby…” and “it also observed…”. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check tense and agreement. Accurate simple sentences should come before adding more complex clauses.
