Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, it is crucial for children, youngsters, workers, as well as retired people to have at least one hobby in their lives. I completely agree with this statement because hobbies help to reduce stress and give opportunities to learn something new.
Firstly, the most important reason is to reduce stress. In this busy life, everyone feels stress in their own life: children with studying, young adults are facing presser of being succes , worker with thier work, and the most retirees getting bored with doing nothing. SO the best way to over this is to follow the one hobby which would be anything such as dance, cooking, sports, painting , or singing. Moreover, sometimes hobby help to distract their mind and try to do favourite things which indirectly makes people's moods of people.
Secondly, learning new skills is another reason. By following any hobby, individuals get a chance to learn new things in their lives. Some people love to cook, so they learn different kinds of dishes. Sometimes, a hobby becomes their passion, which can be converted into a career. For instance, a schoolboy just following his hobby and doing painting in his free time but later he become the most famous painter and sold his paintings in millions of price. Thus, a hobby can make people careers.
To conclude, I believe that all people should have at least one hobby which can not only help to reduce stress levels, distract their minds from work, but also give them a chance to learn something new in their lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear throughout: you completely agree that people of all ages should have a hobby. You address the topic with two relevant reasons—stress reduction and learning new skills—and support them with examples such as cooking and painting. The example of a schoolboy becoming a successful painter also shows how a hobby might develop into a career. However, some points are less fully explained: the discussion of stress lists pressures faced by different age groups but does not explore how particular hobbies help each group, and the career example is broad rather than specific. To strengthen the response, explain the effects of hobbies in more detail and make the examples more convincing and precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow. Some connections, however, feel mechanical, and a few references are unclear. For example, “the best way to over this” does not clearly identify what “this” refers to, while “their mind” and “people's moods of people” make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. The stress paragraph also moves quickly from age-related pressures to a list of hobbies and then to their effects. Use clearer referencing and link each example explicitly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “reduce stress,” “learn new skills,” “passion,” and “career.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “distract their mind.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear. Examples include “presser of being succes,” “over this,” and “sold his paintings in millions of price.” Some expressions are also repetitive, particularly “hobby” and “new things.” Aim to use familiar words accurately before reaching for less natural phrases, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise wording would make your ideas easier to understand and give your vocabulary greater flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple sentences and some attempts at more complex structures, including “because hobbies help to reduce stress” and “which can be converted into a career.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and punctuation remain. For example, “children with studying, young adults are facing” creates an uneven list, and “a hobby help” does not maintain subject–verb agreement. In “he become the most famous painter,” the verb form is also inaccurate. Some sentences combine several ideas without clear grammatical links. Practise building parallel lists and checking that subjects and verbs agree; then review verb forms and punctuation in longer sentences.
