Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays every one is busy in there life. It is crucial for people and children to have at least one hobby. Doing hobby make you confident and more pesonate.
To start with, partents should invlove their children in good activites, or hooby. To elaborate it, if the children do any hobby they will distracted towards the online games, which is bad for them. More, they can also learn from hobby, how to focous on one thing.
Frurthermore, people do hobby because of heath. Many people are old, if they dont have any hobby they feel sick and alone at home. Because their childrens go to college or work. So, in case they have hobby then it is easy for them to spend time alone while doing their activities, it also improve their health like doing running daily improve their health and focus.
In my apnion, i would recomend the people and children to do activites where they can improve their health, focus and learn how to play in groups also.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear general opinion that hobbies are important, and you offer relevant reasons: they can help children focus, reduce time spent on online games, and support older people’s health and wellbeing. These points address the topic, but the response only partially develops the task. For example, the discussion focuses mainly on children and older people, with little about young adults or working people, and the benefits are asserted rather than illustrated with specific examples. The final recommendation repeats the main idea without adding support. The response is also 80 words below the required minimum, so there is limited space to explain your reasons. Develop each point with a concrete example and address the different age groups more evenly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To start with” and “Furthermore,” and a concluding opinion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. However, some links between ideas are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “More, they can also learn from hobby” does not connect smoothly to the previous point, while “Because their childrens go to college or work” is presented as a fragment rather than integrated into the explanation. The paragraph about older people also moves from loneliness to running without a clear transition. Use linking phrases selectively, and make the relationship between each reason and its example explicit. A fuller, more balanced progression would strengthen the organisation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a small set of relevant topic words, including “hobby,” “online games,” “focus,” and “health,” so the reader can understand the main subject and reasons. However, the vocabulary range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to read, such as “pesonate,” “invlove,” “activites,” and “apnion.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “do hobby” and “spend time alone while doing their activities.” Aim to learn accurate collocations and use more precise terms for the benefits of hobbies, such as social connection, concentration, and physical wellbeing. Proofreading spelling and choosing natural verb-noun combinations would make your ideas clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer explanations, for example, “if the children do any hobby they will distracted towards the online games.” However, the longer structures are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. In “Doing hobby make you confident,” the subject needs a singular verb and an article; “they will distracted” is missing a form of “be”; and “it also improve their health” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. “Because their childrens go to college or work” is an incomplete sentence. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a correctly formed supporting clause, then check verbs and sentence boundaries carefully.
