Dear Sister,

I hope you are good and doing great with your studies. Recently, your brother told me that,"you are planing to study in the foreign country as part of your Master's degree". I did the same and found very good base for my career.

I chose the Germany for my study and advise you to do so. Germany is blend of histroy, technology and engineering this made a country perfect for everyone who want to persue their career in the any of this field. I learn that how history can difine the future of any country. For example; after world war 2, many german company start producing different product like car, farming equipment, contruction of iconic building which is the stste of art in current time.

I belive that; one year was very important in my life. becasue, I learn the importance of familiy and work life balance. Moreover, i find that what is right and wrong for me.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the three requested points: you identify Germany as your study destination, share observations about its history and industries, and explain that the year helped you understand family and work-life balance. These details are relevant, but the explanation of how the experience helped your studies is not fully clear: “I find that what is right and wrong for me” describes personal development rather than a specific academic benefit. The country description also relies on broad claims about companies and industries, with limited explanation of what you personally learned. Develop this point with a concrete example, then connect it directly to your course, skills, or future studies. A suitable closing and a more personal form of address would also make the letter feel complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall structure: it opens with a greeting, moves from the destination to observations about Germany, and then discusses the value of the year abroad. This gives the reader a general sense of the letter’s purpose. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, the sentence about post-war companies producing cars and equipment does not clearly explain how it supports the point about learning from history. Linking expressions such as “Moreover” are used, but relationships between ideas are not always explicit, and punctuation around “For example” and “because” interrupts the flow. Organise the body around the three task points and use clear links to show how each example supports the main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “Master’s degree,” “technology,” “engineering,” and “work life balance,” and you attempt more specific expressions such as “iconic building.” This gives you a minimally adequate range for communicating the main ideas. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable, including “planing,” “histroy,” “blend of,” and “state of art.” Some wording also makes the meaning less clear, such as “a very good base for my career” and “what is right and wrong for me.” Check spelling carefully and choose more natural collocations. More precise vocabulary for academic benefits—such as subject knowledge, practical skills, or independence—would help express your experience more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “a country perfect for everyone who want to pursue their career” and a time reference beginning “after World War 2.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include “I chose the Germany,” “I learn that how history can define,” and “many German company start producing.” These involve article use, verb forms, and agreement. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: “I believe that; one year was very important in my life. because…” is not correctly joined. Practise accurate past-tense narration and build complex sentences with clear clause structure; proofread for agreement, articles, and punctuation.
