Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address all three requested points: you name the UK and a university in London, mention learning about local culture and language, and explain that practical study helped with your job. However, these points are only briefly stated, and some details are unclear—for example, the university name and what you learnt about the country are difficult to identify. The explanation of how the year supported your university studies is also limited; the link to later job work does not fully explain its academic benefit. The response is 37 words below the required minimum, which leaves little room to develop the ideas. Add specific examples and explain how they improved your course-related knowledge or skills.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a recognisable sequence: an opening, your study location, what you learnt, the benefit, and a recommendation. This gives the reader an overall route through the message. However, most information is packed into long blocks, and the links between ideas are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For instance, the list beginning “perpair dishess, share room” moves abruptly to culture, language, and independence. Use separate paragraphs for the three task points and connect related ideas with clear phrases such as “In addition” or “As a result.” A conventional closing and clearer separation of the sign-off would also make the letter easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to living and studying abroad, including “practical,” “culture,” “language,” and “difficulties.” These choices show that you can communicate the main topic. However, the range is limited, and frequent spelling errors or inaccurate word choices make several details hard to understand, such as “perpair dishess,” “aren money,” and “calture there people.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “face difficulties and salution” and “during my job work.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for study, independence, and cultural experience. More precise wording would help you explain what you learnt and how it benefited your studies.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You use mostly simple sentence patterns and make an attempt to connect ideas, as in “because in abroad more focies on practical acording to theory.” However, control of basic sentence structure and verb forms is inconsistent. For example, “I hope you and your family happy there” is missing a verb, while “I study in UK” does not use the appropriate tense for a completed year abroad. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: “in UK” requires an article, and several sentences run together without spaces after full stops. Practise accurate past-tense sentences and build longer sentences with one clear main clause and a correctly formed supporting clause.
