Last year, I went to Dubai in Gems School System, for my one year course in Accounting and Finance as an additional help in my master's degree.

It was an outstanding experience not only academically but also got the opportunity to learned about the culture and traditions of the country. Additionally, I visited many famous university as well and got the opportunity to meet learned person in different seminars which will be excellent resource in upcoming years of professional life.

To conclude, I encourage if you would avail any such opportunity ,must go for it as it gives you growth in your professional career. Additionally the exposure of meeting different people will improve your communication and collaboration skills as well.

I would be delighted if I could further help you in this regard, feel free to ask and take care of yourself. Pay my regards to your family.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three points and maintain a suitable, friendly tone, with an appropriate greeting and sign-off. You identify Dubai as the destination and explain that the experience offered cultural exposure and opportunities to meet people at seminars. You also connect the year abroad to your studies by describing it as additional help with your master’s degree. However, some parts are less fully developed: the account of what you learnt about the country is general, and the benefit to your academic work is not explained in much detail. For example, clarify what you learnt about local customs or education, and give a specific example of how the experience strengthened your accounting and finance studies. This would make the response more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall sequence: you introduce the reason for writing, describe the destination and experience, offer advice, and close politely. Paragraphing helps separate these stages, and expressions such as “Additionally” and “To conclude” make the relationships between ideas visible. Some linking is mechanical or repetitive, however, particularly the repeated use of “Additionally,” and the transition from the academic experience to general career benefits could be smoother. The opening sentence also combines several ideas, making the purpose of the letter less direct. Use a clearer progression—location, learning about the country, then academic benefits—and vary or reduce linking phrases so the connections feel more natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range for a personal letter, including relevant terms such as “culture and traditions,” “seminars,” “professional life,” and “communication and collaboration skills.” These choices help convey your experience and advice. There are also attempts at more formal or less common expressions, but some are not natural in context: “learned person” would be better expressed as “knowledgeable people,” while “excellent resource in upcoming years” is unclear. Phrases such as “additional help in my master’s degree” and “avail any such opportunity” also sound awkward. Aim for precise, natural collocations and choose vocabulary that directly describes what you gained, such as academic insight or intercultural understanding.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, and the overall meaning is generally clear. Some grammatical errors remain, especially in verb forms, sentence construction, and articles. For example, “I received an e-mail from Saim and asking” incorrectly joins a finite verb with an -ing form; write “Saim emailed me to ask.” In “got the opportunity to learned,” use the base form “learn,” and “many famous university” needs a plural noun. The opening sentence also repeats “as well” and has an awkward structure. Review verb patterns after “to,” singular and plural agreement, and sentence boundaries. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen control.
