Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The letter addresses all three requested points: you identify the University of Manchester, describe the UK’s cultural diversity and your experience of its communities, and explain that the year helped your studies and career. The personal details about becoming independent and gaining confidence make the account relevant and engaging. The explanation of what you learnt about the country is somewhat broader than specific, however: “multi cultural country” and the range of cuisines, cultures and languages are useful observations, but could be developed with a concrete example of a custom, social difference or academic experience. Similarly, explain more directly how your learning abroad strengthened your university studies, rather than focusing mainly on securing a job. The task is fully covered, with some ideas needing further development for a more complete response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a clear overall sequence: an opening, information about the university and country, personal experiences, and a concluding explanation of the year’s value. Paragraphing helps separate these stages, and transitions such as “Moreover” and “For instance” guide the reader. At times, however, the links feel mechanical or the progression is interrupted. “For instance, Wales, Ireland and Scotland” is a sentence fragment, and the move from describing the professors to saying they helped you secure a job could be connected more explicitly. The final paragraph also repeats the career benefit already mentioned. Use a clearer progression from country and study experience to specific academic benefits, and connect examples within complete sentences. This would make cohesion more natural and references easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range for a personal letter, including relevant expressions such as “multiethnic communities,” “authentic Indian cuisines,” “independent,” and “significant experience.” These choices communicate your enthusiasm and give the reader useful detail. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, but some expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “revert you regarding your query,” “first top ten,” and “paid attention detail towards every topic.” Spelling and word-form slips, including “propffesors” and “multi cultural,” also reduce precision. Aim for natural collocations and consistent spelling, while keeping the friendly tone appropriate to the recipient. More precise vocabulary for academic learning and cultural discoveries would help you explain the experience with greater flexibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response includes a mix of simple and more developed sentence forms, and most of the meaning remains clear. For example, “The diversity will help you learn and experience variety of cultures, food and languages” combines ideas effectively, while the letter also uses past-tense statements to describe your experience. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, verb patterns and sentence boundaries: “I did Masters” needs an article and a more suitable verb, and “For instance, Wales, Ireland and Scotland” is not a complete sentence. In “I hope you are well,” the opening is accurate, but later punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, including the lower-case “please” after a full stop. Review articles and complete-sentence structure, and proofread punctuation to improve control.
