Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main purpose by sharing your experience at a university in Vancouver and mentioning lessons about culture, teamwork, and managing time and money. You also give a reason the year helped your studies: teachers focused more on practical work than theory. However, the response only partially fulfils the three requested points. The country is not clearly identified or described beyond a brief reference to cultural learning, and the academic benefit is stated without explaining how practical teaching supported your course or learning. The opening and closing also do not clearly establish a friendly letter to your friend’s sister. Develop each point with a specific example and make the recipient and purpose clear from the start.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic sequence from your location and university to what you learned and why the experience mattered, so the reader can identify the main topics. However, the ideas are crowded into one long paragraph, and the progression is difficult to follow. The subject line interrupts the personal letter format, while phrases such as “hope so my feedback will you helping you” do not clearly connect the closing idea to the earlier points. Use separate paragraphs for where you studied, what you learned, and the academic benefit. Add clear links such as “While I was there” and “This helped me because” so the relationships between ideas are easier to understand.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “different cultural and traditional,” “team work,” and “time and money management.” These choices show an effort to describe personal and academic learning. However, the range is limited, and frequent spelling and word-choice problems sometimes make the message difficult to understand, as in “extrovort,” “partical worker,” and “theroical.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “doing study from same university” and “give the feedback about your university experience.” Choose more precise phrases for studying abroad and academic learning, and check spelling carefully. For example, “practical work” and “theoretical teaching” would express your contrast more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You try to combine ideas in longer sentences, for example when describing your studies and what you learned, but these attempts are often difficult to follow because of frequent errors in sentence structure and verb forms. Examples include “this is taking so much since we are taked last time,” “currently i in live,” and “i recently i completeed.” Articles, prepositions, and sentence boundaries also need more control. Most sentences would be clearer if you used a simple subject–verb structure first, such as “I studied at UCW in Vancouver” and “I learned about teamwork and time management.” Then add one accurate supporting clause, rather than joining several ideas in a single sentence.
