Dear Anny,
How are you? I hope everything is going well with you. It has been a long time since we last spoke. I got to know from Raja that you are planning to spend your achedemic year in abroad through your university sponsor program. I will definitely guide you step by step about how to prepare yourself regarding this opportunity.
First of all, i want to inform you that I have spent some part of my graduation study in Canada's Humber College last year. I went their through my college sponsorship program, the same you are entitled with. Initially, I was quite nervous in that campus but their Dean was very polite and cooperative as he welcomed all international students respectively. I got the chance to learn various skills regarding my accounting course and corporation tours to the famous Canadian companies throughout the year.
This chance of study in abroad was really helpful as I learnt international market trends and also developed my communication skills. Moreover, this opportunity helped me to get job in multinational company in Toronto.
Anyway, I hope this all information will assist you better. Let me know if you need further guidance, I will be more happy to assist you. Give my regards to your family and whish you luck for your foreign trip.
Take Care,
Best Wishes
Dany

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points in the task: you identify Humber College in Canada, mention learning about accounting and Canadian companies, and explain that the experience developed your communication skills and helped you obtain a job. The letter is appropriately personal and gives relevant information. However, the description of what you learnt about Canada is less fully developed: the focus is mainly on the college’s welcome and company tours, rather than specific insights into the country or its culture. The explanation of how the year supported your studies is also brief. To strengthen the response, add a concrete example of a difference you noticed in Canada and explain how a particular skill or experience improved your university work.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall structure, moving from a friendly opening to your experience, its benefits, and a closing offer of help. Paragraphing supports this progression, and phrases such as “First of all,” “Moreover,” and “Anyway” help signal shifts. The sequence is generally easy to follow, though some linking feels mechanical or does not express the relationship precisely; for example, “Moreover” introduces a job outcome rather than a closely connected additional study benefit. The reference in “this opportunity” is understandable, but the opening includes several ideas before the main account begins. For stronger cohesion, use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “international students,” “accounting course,” “communication skills,” and “multinational company,” so the message remains clear. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “international market trends.” However, several noticeable spelling and word-choice or collocation errors reduce naturalness: “achedemic,” “in abroad,” “corporation tours,” and “whish you luck.” Some phrases, including “guide you step by step” and “assist you better,” are vague or awkward in this context. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for describing cultural observations would also help you explain what you learnt about Canada.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including the clause beginning “as I learnt international market trends” and the sentence explaining how the opportunity helped you get a job. Meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms are noticeable. For example, “I have spent some part of my graduation study … last year” uses an awkward tense pattern for a finished past event, while “I went their through my college sponsorship program” has an incorrect form in the location phrase. The sentence “Let me know if you need further guidance, I will be more happy to assist you” joins two independent clauses with only a comma. Practise accurate past-tense narration, articles and prepositions, and use a full stop or conjunction to join complete clauses.
