Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You make a relevant attempt to describe your experience in Canada and explain that the hospital offered advanced machines, skilled teachers and a supportive environment. However, the task asks where you studied, what you learnt about the country, and how the year helped your studies. The location is only partly clear (“Toronto”), and most of the letter instead gives information about a hospital and its administrator. You do not clearly describe what you learnt about Canada, and the benefit to your studies is only implied by saying you had a good experience. The response therefore addresses the task only minimally in important areas. Develop each requested point directly, for example by naming your university or city, describing a cultural or educational discovery, and explaining a specific academic skill you gained.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable sequence: an opening, a description of the hospital, and a closing offer of help. This gives the reader some overall organisation, and phrases such as “furthermore” and “in case of” attempt to connect ideas. However, the central paragraph combines many details in a long, crowded sequence, so the progression is difficult to follow. Some links are unclear, as in “The administrator… who is such a nice person who guide you everything,” and the shift from accommodation to staff and technology is abrupt. Separate the three task points into clearer paragraphs and use straightforward links to show how each idea relates to your experience. This would make the organisation more consistent and reduce the effort needed to follow the letter.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “accommodation,” “documentation,” “advanced technology” and “skilled,” which helps convey practical details about the hospital. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the letter harder to understand, such as “trainning,” “ultasound,” “hindrence” and “co.operative.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “get a best experience” and “canadian ultrasound centres of toronto.” Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, and choose vocabulary that describes learning and cultural experience as well as facilities. For example, you could refer to “clinical training,” “local customs” or “academic skills” to express the requested ideas more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use a few different structures, including “I hope you are doing well” and “In case of any… you can contact me.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, sentence boundaries, articles and agreement. Examples include “I recently come to know,” “who guide you,” and “they teachers are highly skilled.” Several ideas run together without full stops, particularly the sentence beginning “The administrator of that hospital…,” which makes the relationships between clauses unclear. Use shorter, complete sentences and check that each verb agrees with its subject and has the correct tense. Practising simple past forms for your completed year abroad and adding accurate punctuation would improve clarity.
