In today's world, many people are blessed with the family business and households who have their own business find it very valuable as it adds notable value in their life personally and financially. In my opinion, this trend has more merits than demerits. This essay will support my opinion with relevant examples.
To begin with, family business provides career opportunity to the family members at very start of their career, which enables faster learning for them than a person who works for someone else because learning opportunities are depends on business needs rather then personal interest. Moreover, when family members works together it helps families to strengthen their family bonding. Having said that, it also create better decisions making within company and avoid delays and losses due to miss-management. For example, my dad runs our family business and it helped a lot to start my career after my graduation. In addition, it became very essay to experience in all departments. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While the first body paragraph provides some personal context, the second paragraph is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence. This lack of completion significantly impacts the overall development of the argument. The introduction is functional, but the essay lacks a concluding paragraph, which is a requirement for a well-structured response. To improve, ensure that each point is fully explained with a clear conclusion to wrap up the argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand' to signal transitions. However, the logical flow is disrupted by the incomplete final paragraph. Paragraphing is present, but the abrupt ending makes the overall structure feel unfinished. Referencing is generally clear, but the lack of a conclusion prevents the essay from achieving a higher level of cohesion and logical progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several spelling errors, such as 'dession' (decision), 'miss-management' (mismanagement), 'essay' (easy), and 'dissput' (dispute). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader. The range of vocabulary is limited to common terms, and there is little attempt to use more sophisticated or topic-specific collocations that would demonstrate a higher level of lexical control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('learning opportunities are depends', 'family members works together') and incorrect word forms ('it help us'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and the incomplete final sentence. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors limits the score.
