Student answer (Band 6.5)
Task- 2
Across different regions, enterprises managed by relatives remain a foundational element of commercial landscape. However, I believe it has more advantages as compared to disadvtanges. In this essay, both the sides will be discussed.
To begin with, I believe that working together with your family members in a business can be boon for you as it would help you share your responsibilities, working hours and most importantly investments. There would be no financial stress on one person. Even in the tough times, one could help or support other person. Adding to this, family members could have more financial resources to invest and of course money attracts money. Therefore, more investment can easily led to more profit. For example, there is a great example of Ambani family in India which stands as India's most valuable family enterprise. They have been working in the telecom industry from last twenty five years.
On the other hand, family business can also lead to financial conflict between each other. I believe in a business, decisions should be more professional but sometimes in a family business, due to partiality, decisions are taken emotionally which could result in collapse of a company. For example, a prominent company Raymond was collapsed due to some family problems which resulted in a huge loss of investors. Therefore, if there are siblings or relatives rivalries, it is better to avoid family business.
To conclude, I believe sometimes family business suffer from internal rivalries which could lead to huge loss, but their long term vision and mutual support overcome these personal conflicts.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding shared responsibilities and potential for financial conflict are relevant and supported by examples, such as the Ambani family and the Raymond company. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited; the points are stated rather than fully explored. For instance, the explanation of why 'money attracts money' is a bit simplistic. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your reasoning with more depth and nuance, ensuring that the link between your examples and the main argument is more robustly established.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the advantages and disadvantages. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'On the other hand,' and 'Therefore' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. The referencing is generally clear, but there is occasional repetition of phrasing. Overall, the progression of ideas is logical and easy to follow, meeting the requirements for a solid band 6.5 or 7.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'foundational element,' 'commercial landscape,' and 'financial conflict.' There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'led to more profit' (should be 'lead') and 'was collapsed' (should be 'collapsed'). While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, the range is somewhat limited, and there is a reliance on simpler structures. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and varied academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. Examples include 'both the sides will be discussed' (should be 'both sides'), 'can easily led to' (should be 'can easily lead to'), and 'from last twenty five years' (should be 'for the last twenty-five years'). These errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Increasing your control over verb tenses and prepositions will help improve your accuracy.
