In many countries, family members work together in their family business.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, working in family business has become increasingly common. While this development has certian diadvantages, I believe that it has more advantages overall. This essay will discuss both sides before explaining why benefits are greater.
To begin with, there are several adavantages with working in same business for whole family.
The main advantage is that you always get each other support and guidance. For instance, when you join an unknown organization, there are many times when you get to deal with situatuons where things are new and difficult to manage. However, joining your own firm is never challanging. You can always ask for assistance and start things at your own pace. Another positive aspect is that you get treated well and it boosts your confidence. When you remain at ease and stressfree, it directly improves your productivity.
Nevertheless, working in your comfort zone also has some drawbacks. One significant disadvantages is that you get bounded to a certain limit and get more comfortable. For example, there are less chances of exposure to outer world. This can reduces your chances of personal growth in terms of different life-experiences. However, these drawabcaks can be managed when you explore the different sides of your own family biusiness and push it to grow.
To conclude, although working in same industry with family has some cons. I believe that its adavantages are greater. The benefit of throughout assistance and knowledge ceratily impacts career growth in terms of fiances. One can truly enjoy each other company and grow their business together.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of family businesses and presents a clear position that advantages outweigh disadvantages. The ideas are relevant, such as receiving support and guidance, but some points are under-developed or overly generalized. For example, claiming that joining your own firm is 'never challanging' lacks nuance and realistic support. While the main parts of the task are covered, the depth of explanation remains somewhat limited, placing this response at Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement and follows a logical four-paragraph structure with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Transitional markers such as 'To begin with', 'Nevertheless', and 'To conclude' are used to structure the text, though some cohesive devices feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun use in the concluding sentences. Overall progression is clear, meeting the criteria for a Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student displays an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases like 'productivity', 'personal growth', and 'career growth'. However, there are numerous spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'certian' instead of certain, 'diadvantages', 'adavantages', 'situatuons', 'challanging', 'fiances', and 'ceratily'. While these errors do not severely impede communication, their frequency prevents the score from rising above Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at subordination and relative clauses, such as 'when you join an unknown organization, there are many times when you get to deal with situatuons...' However, there are persistent grammatical errors, incorrect prepositions ('advantages with working' instead of 'advantages of working'), and structural awkwardness like 'you get bounded to a certain limit'. Punctuation is also faulty in places, such as the fragment in the conclusion ('some cons. I believe...'). These errors occasionally cause slight strain for the reader, fitting the Band 5.5 descriptor.
