Student answer (Band 6.0)
Now a days, all our the world people considering to run their own businesses instead of doing job under a company. There are some advantages and disadvantages but In my opinion the advantages are ourweigh to the disadvantages. I will further explain this in my essay with examples.
To begin with, the first and foremost important advantage is that family members who work together in their own family business they will always honest to their work as if they made any mistake it will directly lower the reputation of their own business. Moreover, They will learn new tricks and techniques to grow their business faster and competitive.
For instance, In canada 75% businesses are running well as they have their own family members as employers.
On the other hand, if I am talking about disadvantages, In some senarios it had been observed that family member thinks its their own business so they never came on the scheduled time. They always put their own tasks to other hired people and gave them pressure and act more superior to them. For Instance, 50% of the shareholder businesses fails as they are not following the routine and schedule properly.
In conclusion, family businesses have some positive and negative outcomes but in general the positive side has more good impacts than negative side. As in this tough time of find job opportunities young generation are holding their own fourfather's businesses and work with them under full concentration of their own parents with honesty and hardwork.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of family businesses and presents a clear overall position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Ideas are introduced, such as honesty and the risk of scheduling issues, but their development is somewhat limited and generalized. For instance, the claims about statistics in Canada and shareholder businesses lack elaboration and feel unsubstantial. The response attempts to include relevant examples, but they are superficial rather than fully realized. This places the performance within Band 6, as all parts of the task are addressed and a position is clear, but the ideas require deeper extension and more specific, realistic support to reach a higher level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a discernible progression of ideas, moving from an introduction to an advantage paragraph, a disadvantage paragraph, and a clear conclusion. Basic cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, paragraphing is somewhat erratic, particularly with the very short introductory sentences. Furthermore, referencing and cohesion are occasionally faulty or mechanical, as seen in awkward transitions and repetitive sentence openings. These issues prevent the essay from achieving a higher band descriptor, fitting comfortably into Band 6 where cohesion is generally present but sometimes mechanical or faulty.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully communicating everyday concepts related to employment and business. However, there are notable word-choice and collocation errors, such as 'doing job under a company' instead of 'working for a company', 'ourweigh to the disadvantages' instead of 'outweigh the disadvantages', and 'senarios' instead of 'scenarios'. Less common vocabulary is attempted, but inaccuracies in spelling and phrasing occasionally surface. Because the vocabulary range is sufficient for the task and communication is not impeded despite the noticeable errors, this performance aligns closely with Band 5.5, rounded to Band 6 for adequate coverage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is inconsistent. There are several noticeable grammatical errors throughout the text, including run-on structures and agreement issues, such as 'Now a days, all our the world people considering to run', 'family members who work together in their own family business they will always honest', and 'in this tough time of find job opportunities'. Punctuation is also weak in places, such as lowercase letters after full stops in some instances. These errors occasionally cause slight difficulty for the reader. The frequency of non-systematic errors places this essay firmly in the Band 5 category for grammar.
