In many countries, family members work together in their family business.

Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, people follow the trend of working in thier own family business in most of the coutries. Although I believe that this approach has mertis of improving the business with trust worthy family members, it can hinder the progress of younger members of the family.
The most prominent advantage of family members work together in their family business is improving the working measures to cope up any obstacle. For example, if the grandparent is unable to solve any company's growth realted issue than their grand children who just completed their studies, can solve that problem with their knowledge while using new technology methods. Moreover, instead of trusting on outsider, head of the family business can trust more on family member to share over company's confidiential documents for the sake of its improvement. Therefore, it is beneficial to having members of family in their own business.
Despite this trend has advantages, it can lead to hinder family members own growth as each and everyone has their own interest and goals. For this reason, if they start working in their family business under pressure of their parents, they might not contribute to the well-being of their business because they might pay less attention to tasks and perform poor in any sort of activity, which lead to decline company's growth. For intance, lack of interest in company work by family members can waste company resourses and time either if company really want to give them traning. Thus, company may lack from progress.
In conclusion, I consider that work with family member in their own company offers trust and having traditional and new methods to solve company's problems but if their members have different aims than it can hinder their members to their individual growth. Consequently, families should run their business together with full conern of each and every member so that with their full determination and hard work reach their business at the peak level.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both advantages and disadvantages of working in a family business. A clear position is stated in the introduction and maintained throughout the essay. The advantages are illustrated with the idea of combining traditional experience with new technology, while the disadvantages focus on the potential suppression of younger members' personal goals and interests. However, some ideas lack full extension and suffer from slight generalisations and vague examples. For instance, the discussion on wasting company resources lacks a specific, concrete illustration. Despite these minor under-developments, the response covers the prompt adequately, satisfying the requirements for Band 6.5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay is logically organised into an introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate ideas. Cohesive devices are employed to link sentences and paragraphs, such as 'For example', 'Moreover', 'Despite this trend', and 'In conclusion'. However, referencing and transitional phrases are occasionally mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Thus, company may lack from progress'. Progression is generally clear throughout the text, but the mechanical nature of some cohesive ties prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Overall, the coherence and cohesion demonstrate a clear logical progression that fits the Band 6 descriptor well.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'confidential documents', 'well-being', and 'determination'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'thier', 'coutries', 'mertis', 'trust worthy', 'realted', 'confidiential', 'resourses', and 'conern'. Some phrases are also awkwardly phrased, such as 'cope up any obstacle' and 'perform poor'. While these lexical errors do not impede overall communication, their frequency prevents the score from rising into the higher bands. The student demonstrates a sufficient working vocabulary, justifying a Band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating relative clauses and conditional structures such as 'if the grandparent is unable to solve any company's growth related issue than their grand children... can solve that problem'. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in prepositions, article usage, word forms, and punctuation, including 'family members work together' instead of a gerund phrase, 'instead of trusting on outsider', and comma splices in longer sentences. Although these errors do not completely obscure the meaning, they are frequent enough to detract from readability, placing the grammar comfortably within the Band 5.5 to 6.0 range.
