Student answer (Band 5.5)
In many parts pf the world, people prefer to do work in the family business with their own family members. I think this trend has more benefits such as increase interpersonal relations and know about the method to do work while it may create conflicts between family members.
On the one hand, majority of people are busy in their business and they have not proper time to spend with their family members. If they are working in their own company they can do both work and spend quality tile with their family members. For example, during lunch break, they eat food and communicate with each other as well as share things with each other. as a result, it may help to enhance interpersonal skills between them. Moreover, people also know about different types of tactics to do work. They discuss some new strategies which will enhance their productivity.
However, Most of time people may feel jealousy from other family member. They feel another person do better job than his ro her. For instamce, If in the company one brother and sister do work and brother have much knowledge to do work and he tell to his isiter how to do work and she may be feel embarresed in front of others. Sometime money makes the big factor of conflicts between family members.
In conclusion, although working in the family business has moew benefits but drawbacks cannot be overlooked. To enhance bonding between family members and increase productivity are the advantages of this trend.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of family businesses, taking a clear position in the introduction. The ideas presented are relevant, noting that working together enhances interpersonal relationships and productivity while also acknowledging potential conflicts like jealousy and monetary disputes. However, the development of these ideas remains somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on spending quality time and eating lunch together lacks deeper elaboration. While the prompt is adequately answered, the support provided tends to skim the surface rather than fully exploring the nuances of family-run enterprises. Therefore, the response aligns best with Band 6 descriptors for Task Achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at logical organisation, making use of standard organisational markers such as 'On the one hand', 'However', and 'In conclusion'. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, advantages, disadvantages, and conclusion. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty. For example, referencing and transitional links like 'Most of time people may feel jealousy from other family member' lack smooth integration. Furthermore, some sentences within the body paragraphs are disjointed, which disrupts the natural flow of ideas. These features are characteristic of Band 6, where progression is present but cohesion can be awkward or repetitive.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common words and phrases such as 'interpersonal relations', 'productivity', and 'conflicts'. However, there are notable limitations and persistent errors in word choice, morphology, and spelling. Examples include 'pf' instead of 'of', 'increase interpersonal relations' instead of 'increasing', 'tile' instead of 'time', 'feal jealousy' (expressed as 'feel jealousy'), 'instamce', 'siter' (sister), 'embarresed', and 'moew'. Although these errors do not completely impede communication, they frequently draw attention and reveal a lack of precision, placing the response firmly at Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ('If they are working in their own company they can do both work...'). However, the grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions. Examples include 'know about the method to do work', 'majority of people are busy in their business and they have not proper time', 'another person do better job than his ro her', and 'money makes the big factor'. These frequent errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and demonstrate limited control over complex structures, corresponding closely to the Band 5 descriptors.
