Student answer (Band 6.0)
Business are quite complex to begin and attain sucess as a whole .Although when family become the pillar of support then outcomes are groundbreaking. All over the globe many new business ideas are passed on from generation to generation.I strongly believe there are way more merits in family business.
Firstly , Family business are safe ,since they have undergone vicious cycle of profit and loss in their earlier stages. Moreover there is no need to experiment with new taughts to run it.
Just follow the system which was implemented and check for the output. To cite a example
billionaires trust more passive income, which was planted by their parents. To be secure they have insured their business ,for risk management. which clearly states they are following their family footsteps to avoid any problem.
Secondly, They trust their elders instinct when it comes to challenges in their plans. Eventhough family business seem to be with less problematic ,few generational gaps might hinder the growth. In those cases new ideas immerges from the younger generation. Which might help to solve and sustain the problem. For instance, Like Ambani brother had cold war after their father's demise as of who will in power ,which was easily resolved by their mother.
Just share the business equally and made legal clause which would benefit both.
which clearly states that in a family you can resolve issues much easier .
Finally, emotionally string will be attached to the business ,since it is carried from generations.
A sense of stong integrity is found among the fellow members to run it more efficiently.
More sensitive and discreet data can be handed over without any hesitation since they belong one family.
To conclude the merits of running a family business outweigh the demrits and bring more revenue to country.I personally believe that having family business in this fast paced world can be a finanical support to oneself and the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the merits and drawbacks of family businesses, ultimately taking a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Ideas are introduced and supported with examples, such as the mention of billionaires passing down passive income and the reference to the Ambani brothers' dispute being resolved by their mother. However, some arguments remain slightly under-developed or general, such as the brief mentions of emotional attachment and integrity. Overall, all parts of the task are addressed with a clear position maintained throughout, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, moving from an introduction to body paragraphs with transitional markers like 'Firstly,' 'Secondly,' and 'Finally,' and a clear conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. There are issues with sentence boundary punctuation and fragment sentences, such as starting a new sentence with 'To cite a example' or separating dependent clauses incorrectly, as seen in 'For instance, Like Ambani brother had cold war...'. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear or abrupt. These mechanical flaws place this criterion firmly at Band 6.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'groundbreaking', 'vicious cycle', 'discreet', and 'passive income'. However, there are notable word choice and collocation errors throughout the text, including 'Business are quite complex' (businesses), 'new taughts' (thoughts), 'immerges' (emerges), 'emotionally string' (string should be strong), and 'demrits' (demerits). Spelling and morphological errors occur regularly, though they generally do not impede overall communication. This performance fits the Band 6 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but it is heavily impacted by frequent grammatical and punctuation errors. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Family business are safe', 'Business are quite complex'), incorrect article usage ('to a example', 'belong one family'), and fragmented sentences ('Which might help to solve and sustain the problem.'). While the intended meaning is usually clear enough not to impede communication, the density of errors prevents the text from reaching a higher band, making Band 5.0 the most accurate descriptor.
